MALICK MBOOB AND OTHERS DETAINED

Shortly
after the Daily Observer published the names of people who were accused
of being informants of the online Freedom Newspaper, many people were
arrested, detained, interrogated and later released by the security
forces, but some of them are still detained. Foroyaa has learned that
Malick Mboob, former Communication Officer of the Royal Vaictoria
Teaching Hospital (RVTH) has spent more than two months in detention.
Mr. Mboob is said to be in NIA custody for 80 days without being
charged. Lamin Bojang a staff of the Medical Research Council (MRC) has
also spent 79 days in detention. The expelled APRC National Assembly
Member, Duta Kamaso has spent 75 days in detention and Buba Jammeh, a
state guard has spent 74 days in detention. No reason was advanced for
the detention of Duta Kamaso and Mboob. The four are detained at the
NIA Office without being charged.
