I have been busy on other stuffs and as such could not continue my writing series on Jammeh’s citizenship scandal. I accepted the criticism and the praises meted out to me in good faith. Bolong, is not convinced that Jammeh is a citizen of The Gambia. Jammeh , is ruling The Gambia by chance. His parents never anticipated that such a non Gambian will one day emerge as a ruler. That is why they repeatedly asked him to humble himself to avoid running into the footsteps of other disgraced leaders in Africa.

The visit of The Gambia’s reggae and rap star Freaky Joe to the United Sates of America, is indeed a positive signal for our country’s neglected music industry. We at the Freedom Newspaper are honoured about such an historic visit. Freaky, have a lot to share with his African American brothers and sisters, who cherished African music. His visit should not be seen as a Gambian affair. It is for all and sundry.

Insiders at the police Head Quarters in Banjul, have lamented about the incompetency of the Inspector General of police Ousman Sonko, whom they described as a “square peg in a round whole.“ The aggrieved officers who spoke to the Freedom Newspaper, on condition of anonymity say Sonko cannot interpret the Criminal Code and was often confused when consulted to offer opinion on pending criminal cases at the Prosecution Department. This according to our sources had affected the work of the police, as many cases were either dismissed by the courts or dropped by the top brass.

Dictator Jammeh, is far from certain about his political future. We learned that his ruling APRC, is divided today with internal infighting and unnecessary political bickering amongst party militants. It is reported that the Party’s Lamin meeting was cancelled due to lack of audience. The villagers are pissed off with his regime. The APRC Jali Touray, shocked by the poor attendance, decided to call off the meeting and proceeded to a near by town in the locality.
