STATEMENT BY THE UDP/NRP ALLIANCE NEW YORK ON THE (GPDP) JOINING THE UDP/NRP ALLIANCE:
 
Gambians and the world community, you are being informed that today, August 31, 2006, the Secretary General and Party leader of The Gambia Party for Democracy and progress (GPDP) Mr. Hendry Gomez has official joined the UDP/NRP Alliance. Therefore, the UDP/NRP Alliance is now call ALLIANCE for REGIME CHANGE (ARC). Mr. Gomez disclosed his patriotism decision this morning at the UDP/NRP Alliance Bureau when he came with his party supporters to let the Gambians know that he is not hungry for power but wants a Democratic and Just Gambia. He said that he has no condition for joining the UDP/NRP Alliance other than putting his party’s weight on The Gambia most likely opposition parties to effect change.
