BY XIBAAR
On the 18th of February 1965 many Gambians, mostly from the greater Banjul area and some representatives from different parts of the country gathered to celebrate what we are told to be our freedom to decide our own destiny. TEETH BITE:DK JAWARA IS A FUNNY CHARACTER!!! Sunday, March 12, 2006 (445 reads)
DK JAWARA IS A FUNNY CHARACTER!!!
Sir Dawda Kairaba Jawara, is indeed a funny character. Imagine Jawara at his age saying that he is willing to serve at any official capacity? What message is Jawara sending to his host and former followers? We have no problem with Jawara’s come back, but the reality is that the old man is a spent force. He had outlived his usefulness. What we need now is a new breed of politicians and not the likes of Jawara who had contributed to the problems we have found ourselves today. The same Jawara is dining with Jammeh day in day out.

I am ready to perform any task that may be assigned to me either nationally or regionally in a non partisan basis."Sir Dawda Jawara!!! Sunday, March 12, 2006 (300 reads)
"If you think I have been silent, it is rather on the contrary. But when I was invited by the President to return from my self imposed exile at the end of 2001, I came home several months later in 2002, and considering myself as an Elderly Statesman, I decided to be neutral … I mean to withdraw from party politics, withdraw from active party politics and assume the role of an Elderly Statesman. In this status, I am ready to perform any task that may be assigned to me either nationally or regionally in a non partisan basis."Declared former Gambian President Sir Dawda Jawara in an exclusive interview with the Sierra Leonean based Awareness Times Newspaper. MILOSEVIC'S DEATH SHOULD SERVE AS A LESSON TO JAMMEH!!!! Saturday, March 11, 2006 (221 reads)
EDITORIAL
The death of the former Serb Leader dictator Slobodan Milosevic, should serve as an eye opener to other dictators like Gambia’s President Yahya Jammeh. Death has no boundary and whoever believes that life is permanent, must be living in a dream world. No one with his right mind will celebrate the death of a fellow human being. But the truth be told, Milosevic was a dictator of the highest order. He has answered to God’s calling, which we are all waiting for.
