UK To Deport Gambian Asylum Seeker Gibril Saine!!!

…….Saine Says He Is Likely To Be Harmed If Forcefully Return To Gambia!!

“Jawara’s return is not a sufficient reason or ground for asylum denial. People are fleeing from the Gambia for good reasons. We are not saying that some of the cases are not frivolous, but out of the lot there are genuine cases. The Home Office should consider staying some of the deportation orders against Gambian asylum seekers for Humanitarian grounds. Giving them voluntary departure would make sense than to be thrown out like hard criminals. Britain being a signatory to the Geneva Convention ought to lead by example. We are aware of the refugee crisis they are facing right now, but refugees human rights must be observed at all cost.” said a Human Rights activist.

By A Staff Writer

Gibril Saine, a Gambian residing in the United Kingdom, has been arrested by the British Immigration agents, the Freedom Newspaper can reveal. No Salary Increment For Gambian Workers-2007-2008 Fiscal Year Draft Estimates Suggest!!

………Finance Ministry Official says a greater part of the Budget Allocation goes to Defense and State House.

” There is nothing on that document, which suggests that the life of ordinary Gambian would be improved by this Government. We have been spending more money than what we make. Our colleagues on the other side were quick enough to give their blessing to the bill without properly scrutinizing it. I have never seen such a backward bill. Going by that bill, there is no solution to the current economic problems. What’s the rationale of having so called economic growth when people cannot afford one square meal a day? Asked the MP.

By Mamat Taal, Banjul.

Leaks from the Department of State For Finance And Economic Affairs say there was no allocation for salary increment for Civil Servants in the fiscal year 2007 and 2008 budget draft estimates currently debated before the National Assembly. Dependable sources close to corridors of power say the original draft estimates never mentioned about any salary increment for Civil Servants. “Unless the Finance Minister effected some changes, the records before us never mention any salary increment. Most of the budget goes into Security and the State House. The Deputies never scrutinized that documents. The document was full of falsifications and misrepresentation.” said an official of the Department of State For Finance.

Gambian Police Chief Says Government Agents Killed 44 Ghanaians and other West African Nationals!!

…..Police Detective Accuses Jammeh of “lying “ To The World

“The other 36 death bodies were also buried at Siffoe near his farm and two escaped to casamance. In fact, if it were not that daybreak was coming all the bodies found at Brufut would have been taken to the Siffoe Farm for disposal. Jammeh must face the ICC and defend himself.” he posited.

By Foday Ceesay

A top Gambian Police Chief has rejected President Yahya Jammeh’s claims that the 44 Ghanaians were murdered and dumped into The Gambia by unknown individuals. The police official speaking on condition of strict anonymity accuses President Jammeh of “lying to the world” by shamelessly trying to cover atrocities committed by his hit men in Banjul. The police official who had been involved in the investigations of the Ghanaian massacre said the Ghanaians were indeed murdered in cold blood by agents of The Gambian Government. “I was shocked and dismayed reading in your online newspaper that Yahaya Jammeh is denying killing the 44 Ghanaians in 2005.His denial is ofcourse a confession because if he is claiming that those Ghanaians were killed and dumped in the Gambia, where are the remains of the other 36 bodies? Let him tell us, beacuse only eight bodies were found at the Brufut bushes on that faithful day.” said the official.
