PANORAMA with 'Bulfaaleh' Gambia's wrong vision 2020,Jammeh a disgrace or shame? Thursday, March 09, 2006 (180 reads)
Vision 2020 is a myth.
Under President Jammeh, fine literature is shooting targets with a lot of praises but missing almost every one of those targets. When one reads the Daily Observer or Jammeh's hired online propagandists it appears as if the Jammeh person is a special breed from heaven. When the Daily Observer, writes it depicts everything Jammeh as a solution to our natural problems. That is far from the truth.

AMIDIST TRIBAL SENTIMENT CONTROVERSY-FOON ACCUSED OF VIOLATING STGDP LAWS Tuesday, March 07, 2006 (187 reads)
BY PA NDERRY M'BAI
"From the above excerpts from our constitution it is obvious, Mr. Kebba Foon, Ex-Chairman of STGDP has violated the spirit of our by-laws; specifically item E & H. STGDP, regrets and wants to categorically dissociate itself from the remarks that Mr. Foon stated in this mailing three days ago. As we stated earlier, Mr. Foon resigned from his Chairmanship position several months ago. Although, the fact that he once held one of the highest positions in the organization undermines the credibility of this organization."says a statement issued by the US based Save The Gambia Democracy project. Mr.Foon was said to have made certain tribal remarks, which never went down well with a majority tribe in The Gambia called the Mandinkas. His statement appeared on the Gambia post mailing list, which attracted a heated debate amongst forum members. Some list members went as far calling on STGDPT to expel Foon from their organization in view of his recent remarks. Other G post contributors also recommended for the organization to issue a statement and disassociate itself from Foon's statement. Foon is yet to react to this developments.

BY TIMBUKTU, GAMBIAN AFFAIRS
POLITICAL COMMENTATOR
well after a noisy week we have seen so much and heard so much.At the end when one rattles a snake why not expect to be bitten by its fangs? At least we can borrow this statement from the Kenyan police! It was not appropriate where they used it,it is more appropriate when used against those dictators who are dawdling along the corridors of power in Africa today. We have one like that in Banjul.
