Every Gambian within and outside the country is an involuntary witness to the sanctioned, blatant, and targeted violations of civil and fundamental liberties; the mindless hiring and firing of civil servants based on their partisan leanings; the irresponsible cohesion of executive powers and decision making by the president.

A Visit To The Daily Observer: Halaki, Others Speak!!
Is Jammeh About to Divorce His Unofficial Wife Amina Cole?
A Reporter’s Diary Exposes Scary Details
This picture you are watching online is the Daily Observer Newspaper. I spent three hours at the Observer building, talking to staffers. I poised as an APRC supporter. I had meal with some computer staffers, including Editors of the Paper. It was an interesting visit. I exchanged greetings with Dida Halaki briefly before, I started interviewing staffers. While at the Observer, I was told that Dida Halaki writes most of their editorials. Halaki in some instances also writes opinion pieces under the banner of pen name. I also heard about the deplorable conditions of Free Lance Journalists, who are currently denied living by the paper. Most of the Observer stories are lifted from the net and the state house press releases. The paper is also faced by financial crisis. Hundreds of returns are currently piled up at the paper’s printing press.

Dida Halaki Dismissed By The Marina School For Inappropriately touching school girls- Alleges An APRC Militant
President Jammeh Should Open His Eyes!!
An APRC supporter who reached the Freedom Newspaper, during the Weekend says the Daily Observer Managing Director Dida Halaki had his services with the Marina International School terminated for inappropriately touching school girls. Mr. Halaki, who is an Ethiopian naturalized British Citizen, has been accused of ethical misconduct, indecent behavior, and as well as operating an unregistered motel in The Gambia, which according to the APRC supporter, was being used for prostitution purposes. “Mr President your government closes down the Australian mining company Carnegie for cheating the people of the Gambia. I applaud you for that. That you have at least the people’s heart. Here is another story, your boy Mr Dida Halaki, MD of Observer Newspaper, has been operating a motel at his home for the past 4 years, without paying a single Dalasi tax or GTA, he don’t even bother to get a license (how insulting to the people of the Gambia). Did you also know that his service was terminated at Marine School for touching Small girls ? Well Mr. President I guess you didn’t know that for pedophilia is not your cup of tea. Now that you know and the people of the Gambia demand equal justice, please don’t let them down.” concludes the APRC supporter.
