Musa Jammeh’s family are very angry with President Jammeh. They just can’t believe that Musa can be rewarded with such a nasty farewell by Oga. That the President can disown his favorite killer in such a way, beats the imagination of many here in Banjul. His co jungulars are also angry. Very angry with the President. As an insider here, I’m privy to many things. The President’s failure to fly Tumbul Tamba and Musa Jammeh for overseas treatment is opening the eyes of many jungulars. They are openly talking about Jammeh’s ungratefulness and lack of sympathy for the people who helped to run his dirty errands for him.

The aids pandemic or scourge as its widely referred to, must be tackled with seriousness by our political leaders if they truly meant well for the people of the continent. Political will and grassroots participation is crucial in Africa’s efforts to bring an end to this dreadful disease. In the absence of political will, Aids would continue to ravage the continent. Our leaders should lead by example by ensuring that voluntary HIV testing is encouraged at all levels. This would go a long way in helping communities to know their HIV status. Fighting HIV/Aids requires serious aids policies as well.

The Senegalese President ABDOULAYE WADDA greedily hunting for The Nobel peace prize visited President ROBERT MUNGABE in HARARE a visit without any protocol because of non formal invitation from the Zimbabwean government, but Mugabe seized the opportunity to retaliate from Wada’s 2002 unceremonious attacks by humiliating him.
