Alhagie MC Cham, former Minister in the First Republic has denied joining the APRC, saying that joining the Jammeh government has never cross into his mind. Mr.Cham, a veteran politician said the news on his defection to the APRC was brought to his notice by his colleagues and well wishers amidst wild reports circulating in the country that he and Assan Musa Camara had defected to the APRC.

President Yahya Jammeh, has once again staged another coup against the PPP, this time with a different style. He toppled the PPP government on a Friday, and this time around he launched another coup this past Friday, with the defection of the top PPP officials into his Ruling APRC Party. The likes of Lamin Kitti Jabang, MC Cham, Assan Musa Camara and other PPP stalwart joined the APRC bandwagon, whose political future is far from certain.

Veteran Gambian journalist Sanna Manneh, who happens to be a political activist and also senior official of the opposition NRP, Friday defected to the Ruling APRC amidst a major shake up in the opposition. Sanna Manneh, wildly known as “Tix” Manneh, was spotted at the State House, where he pledged his full support for President Jammeh and his government, the Freedom Newspaper can reveal.

Breaking News- The President has appointed Mr. Lamin Kitty Jabang the former foreign affairs minister in the deposed PPP regime as the Gambia’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and a permanent representative to the Organisation of the Islamic conference. UDP leader Ousainou Darboe refused to comment on the major political twist. He told our reporter that he was busy on other pressing issues.
