Breaking News:Justice Paul Says Mai Fatty Is Not A Lawyer!!!!

Justice Paul Says Mai Fatty Is Not A Lawyer!!!!

….Fatty Accused Of " Falsifying" Law Credentials.

BAR ASSOCIATION ACCUSED OF AIDING FATTY!!!

Justice Paul Blows the whistle!!!!

“The Bar Association knows he is not a lawyer, but he is protected because he is its tool. Ms Jatou Kah who now works for the UN special court in Sierra Leone, vehemently opposed his admission to The Gambian Bar, because of his questionable credentials but was overwhelmed by other members of the General Legal Council who had a special interest in him for filial and other reasons,.”said Justice Paul.

A seemingly war of words between Lawyer Mai Fatty and his lordship Justic MA Paul is dominating newspaper headlines, with both parties trading charges of misconduct and incompetency against each other. Writing from an undisclosed location, through a third party media contact, Justice Paul dismisses Mai Fatty's recent allegations against him, describing them as “ false and totally unfounded.” The Former President of Gambia’s anti corruption Commission charges that Mai Fatty is not a trained lawyer as he claims. “Mai Fatty appears to have a lot of fire in his stomach. The reason is obvious. The Bar Association knows he is not a lawyer but he is protected because he is its tool. The former Appeal Court Judge says Fatty was not only involved in shady activities that put his integrity into question while in The Gambia, but was also busy  transferring his clients assets into his name. Paul said Fatty could have been debarred if "he was an attorney," in view of the alleged falsification of  his credentials as a lawyer and as well as his attempt to claim Baba Jobe’s assets. “This is obstruction of the course of Justice and a crime. When this reprehensible act came to light   Paul condemned it in the strongest of terms and spared a word or two about it in his considered judgment. Fatty hated this judge with a passion and  we knew it. In other jurisdictions,  Mai Fatty would be prosecuted and sent to jail. And if he is actually a lawyer, he would have been disbarred, we all remembered, how many times he visited the Observer newspaper and shed tears against the paper publishing his criminal activities. In fact, if one would look at The Gambia Bar Association through the prism of Mai Fatty, then the Gambia is in trouble,” Justice Paul argues. Below is the full text of Justice Paul’s rejoinder, which was emailed to the Freedom Newspaper, through his third party media contact.  Please read on….

Dear Editor,

I want to seek refuge in the rights and privilege to a rejoinder, in responding to the article by Mai Fatty, following a story on the resignation of Justice Paul from the Gambia Court of Appeal.

GAMTEL House In Brikama Set On Fire!!!!

Amidst Reports Of An Organized Crime Group, Targeting Financial Institutions !!!!

….Military Showdown In The Making

By Staff Writer Landing Badjie, Banjul.

It seems as  there is an organized crime group in The Gambia, targeting Government’s main financial institutions. With barely less than fortnight after the burning of the Serre-Kunda main market and GAMTEL House in Banjul, the GAMTEL Branch in Brikama was set ablaze on Friday, the Freedom Newspaper can authoritatively report.  The Western Region commercial Telecommunication outlet  was burnt beyond recognition. The fire destroyed a significant amount of telecommunication equipment and gargets, while speculations are rife that the military is embarking on a showdown by sabotaging main financial institutions in the country. The clandestine operation, which is  gaining ground, is eroding public trust and confidence on the Government. Many here are worried about the Government’s inability to arrest the situation.

Distraught Parent Appeals To President Jammeh To Bailout Suffering Gambian Students In Cuba!!!!

“The reason why I allowed  my child to join the 20 batch of students,  is because I was told by Omar Gibba,  the assistance Chief Protocol officer  that my child would be going to study under a  full scholarship from the office of the President and the Cuban government but this is not the case,.”said a distraught parent Fatou Jobarteh.

Dear Editor,

Can you give me space in your widely read newspaper to inform and appeal to His Excellency the President to urgently help my child and other students in Cuba.  Your Excellency,  I wish to write this letter to you to inform you and appeal for urgent intervention. My child wrote to me everyday telling me she wants to come back home because of the hardship that she is facing in the Island.  She told me that since she left The Gambia for  that country for studies under your personal Scholarship, they have been going through unbearable situation.  And is now half a year,  they have not been paid their stipend.  As a poor parent, I do not have the means  to send money to her in that island.

Editorial: Presidential  Vacancy In The Gambia!!!

….Jammeh Went Insane

For a long time, we have been commenting on the ailing health of Gambia’s President Yahya Jammeh. Jammeh is suffering from serious mental health problems. He  needs urgent help. He has ceased to function as a President since March of 2006. He is yet to recover from the physiological trauma and nightmare he suffered from the said coup, led by former army chief Colonel Ndure Cham. We need to fill the vacant position of the Presidency sooner or later. This country risked facing leadership crisis,  if we fail to act as a nation. Be it the civil populace, the army, the police and other security agencies, should remain united to send the sick Gambian President packing.  We cannot  afford to have a country without a President. A sick man cannot lead us. Jammeh is medically unfit to lead The Gambia. This is evident on his inconsistencies as a leader. We shall elaborate more on this, as we proceed with this editorial.

OBAMA SWORN IN, PAN AFRICANS REMEMBERED, GAMBIA IN THE SPOTLIGHT -Essay

By Capt.(Rtd) Alhajie Kanteh

As the world celebrates the wearing in of a black man as the president of the most powerful nation on the surface of the earth, a myth has been broken; history made. The nation with a blemish of institutionalizing slavery has come of age. If in America not everything is possible, certainly many things are. The election of Barrack Obama to the presidency of the United States of America has rekindled the spirit and hopes of the black race and opens up new opportunities that are possible when a people are proud, and not shame of themselves; strong in the face of challenges; and steadfast in common purpose.

Michael Scales On Predatory Tourists!!!

Michael Scales On Predatory Tourists!!!

Dear Mr. Editor,

It was noticed that the "predatory tourist" was on the increase in The Gambia last time I was there. Tasked with the enquiries through "Trade Partners" for people wanting assistance with "Doing Business in The Gambia". Their were at time some very strange and peculiar interests from all walks of life. These ranged from dubious business people wanting to leave the U.K. because of a hidden agenda or from single sex partners. mainly women wishing to escape their social surroundings to further their relationship in some obscurity. Of course Jumping from the" flame into the fire "sprang to mind on several occasions. The difficulty is the difference in Law and culture between the U.K. and The Gambia and how each society views the mix. When offering any advice, I was always aware of the liability of "discrimination" so it required the wisdom of Solomon to find the advice that was politically correct without offending our Laws involving discrimination.
