LAMIN SONKO TAKE ISSUES WITH PA NDERRY AND HALIFA SALLAH OF NADD!!!
Wednesday, March 29, 2006 (467 reads)

                  BY LAMIN SONKO

I am so disappointed when I read the junk of news been published in the website based on partisanism. Note, any minded person knows that this website is more of a joke and a bunch of people who are trying to achieve their selfish desires. Paderry note that journalism must be practiced constructively and not expressing a party you support. I have analyzed most of your writings and you clearly stated which party you support (NADD). How can you be objective in your writings rather than misleading idle Gambians and grieved persons who fell victim of their selfish interest in the present regime.

Re: MARABOUTS IMPLICATED / Jammeh self distructing
Wednesday, March 29, 2006 (432 reads)

           BY JABOU JOH

Yaya Jammeh is self distructing before the eyes of the Gambian people. These ridiculous stories starting with Tam Jasseh's so-called confession actually indicates that sadly, at least some of these so-called confessors are collaborating with the regime in this devious exercise. This even more unbelievable story that Marabouts are about to confess their role shows just what kind of mindset Jammeh has and his belief in the supernatural. I wonder how much money he is paying these people to humiliate themselves before their peers and to collaborate with him in this crime against the people.

Wednesday, March 29, 2006 (245 reads)

“Gambian journalists are once again paying dearly for the contempt in which they are held by President Yahya Jammeh,” Reporters Without Borders said. “Expressing a critical opinion or publishing irritating reports are viewed as crimes of lèse-majesté in Gambia. Despite the promises it gave to the privately-owned press, Jammeh’s government continues to act in the way to which we are accustomed, with brutal repression.” The press freedom organisation added : “It is time the African Union, the European Union and the United States made President Jammeh understand that such practices are unacceptable.”said an alert issued by the media watch dog, Reporters Without Borders on the arrest of the Independent Newspaper Editorial staffers.

We are seeing a ghost house, with all the children fleeing. What a sad story. It is not easy to make a second impression. God save our people. The situation is scary.”

EDITORIAL:IS THIS A WITCH HUNT OR A FAKED REBELLION?
Wednesday, March 29, 2006 (339 reads)

     EDITORIAL

Facts are gradually emerging on the government’s bogus coup story. The release of the two top army officers Major Ebrima Bah and Captain Famara Jammeh, raises more doubts in the minds of Gambians. Remember, the two were repeatedly mentioned by their fellow alleged coupists in their GRTS testimonies. From now on, Gambians will judge for themselves about this so called coup. It looks like a witch hunting campaign directed at perceived government opponents.
