Gambia cannot withstand Global Recession-Michael Scales Argues!! Friday, June 27, 2008 (627 reads)
Dear Mr.Editor,
I must confess to reading the book of The Gambia from back to front.Certainly,like many good intentioned British visitors to your country,I was little concerned with the local politics and more concerned with the condition of its long suffering citizens.My response to the plea from The Honourable Mayor of Banjul for better trade relations between the U.K. and Gambia was well provided for by the offices of Her Majesties Government.The fact remains that it was the Gambian Government that scuppered every trade inititive that I instigated.

JAMMEH IS A DAMN LIAR!!!
….Gambian Newspapers A Disservice To The Country- A Case Study
“ Stories matter, and matter deeply because they are the best way to save our lives.” Frank McConnell

Gambia’s President Yahya Jammeh is a damn liar. A pathological liar for that matter. Jammeh’s lies is becoming unbearable. Gambians are tied of his lies. Enough is enough!!! He has long been lying about mineral discovery in The Gambia, when there is no such thing. Do we hear Jammeh announcing the presence of iron in our shores? What about the oil discovery he made years back? How about the gold discovery? When will the long awaited mining start? After Jammeh’s demise? When will this sick and retarded President stop his day dreaming?

Open letter to Jesus, Inspector General of Police on the daily observer. Wednesday, June 25, 2008 (1591 reads)
By OC Cox Banjul Police Head Quarters
Dear Editor,
I wish to refer ot the 'open letter' in the Daily Oberver dated 24th June, 2008 by One Mariama Jallow to Jesus, the Gambia's new Inspector General of Police. Mariama Jallow has very good advice for the Jesus, but let me make loud and clear that this is not the Jesus that can take the Gambia Police Force to higher heights. The fact of the matter is Jesus has never had any professional training and besides, he never worked beyond Brikama, in Western Region. Like Bem, he spend all his service within the greater Banjul area.

Concerning Mr Momodou Lamin Sanneh {Gambian Citizen}

Mr Sanneh contracted Lymphodeema {elephantiasis} at the age of thirteen.He is now 34 years of age.Your editorial, explained that Momodou had been denied a medical visa to travel for possible treatment to St.Georges Hospital in the U.K. by The entrants clearance section of The British High Commission in Banjul since 2004.After interrogating the circumstances of this unfortunate situation,I regret to say, that the decision made by our High Commission could not be faulted.Under Immigration rules, this particular visa {6 months} carries a reasonable requirement for the recipient to show that he could pay , privately for his treatment and that he should be able to meet the cost of his accommodation and living expenses { no recourse to public funds } and travel.
