VP apologist prods Freedom Newspaper over exposure story Sunday, September 23, 2007 (1219 reads)
Editors react
by Sekou Toure
Mr. Editor,
I would like to state from the onset that I am NOT a sympathizer of the
current Gambian administration or any of its members for that matter. But
what I will NOT stand up for any day is the use of foul language such as
"damn fool" against the OFFICE of the Vice President of the Republic of The
Gambia (you SERIOUSLY need to consider the long term effects of the insults
displayed on your website on your credibility and on the respect that people
will have for your beloved country long after this current administration is
gone).

.jpg) Dear Mr.Editor,
May i note with kindness the words of Mr David Sambou...who i believe on an earlier occaision....expressed his deep wish to return to The Gambia to teach children .I too have been inspired by his writings and his brave and intelligent comment.May also acknowledge the words of my dear friend ,Ambassador Sey...who wittingly comments....we are ALL WANTED !!!!,,,,, in the Gambia ..praise be to him with the courage of the Lion.{He made me laugh so much with this brilliant comment} I am a quiet worker..but rest assured i remain very productive. There remains elements besetting me to which i must give due thought and careful consideration. If it were just a matter of standing against the wall with freedom editors and fighters .to take the bullet...I would gladly do so.But rest assured....this quiet man..has many powerful friends who are working tirelessly with you all.... for justice.

NIA DG Pa Jallow's activities scrutinized Sunday, September 23, 2007 (1550 reads)
Pa Jallow - Framing people while smiling
an earthworm trying to cross the sahara desert
Hammadi Maasina writes
Pa Jallow Director General of the NIA is nothing other than an
earthworm trying to cross the sahara desert. Here is another slippery
character who has been traversing the corridors of almost every
Gambian mission abroad. Known to be a dead coward. Pa Jallow has been around many others including Mr Assan Gibrill. He is known, he indeed knows that he is known. Lest Pa Jallow forgets when he was sitting in a crowd in New York listening to the sermons of Alhaji Mustapha Gueye, the famous preacher of radio Senegal. A man many call "Yalla rekka hamm" - Only Allah or God knows. Lest Pa Jallow forgets his endless complaints against the system back home.

STARTLING REVELATIONS AGAINST VP NJIE-SAIDY Saturday, September 22, 2007 (2056 reads)
VP Njie-Saidy exposed for her witting grasp of the Jammeh dictatorship
By Hammadi Maasinah
Once again, reliable sources within and without Banjul have revealed the travel schedule of VP Njie-Saidy. She is in New York to attend the United Nations General Assembly. Isatou has since been decorated as a flying bird using the wings of a "grounded" dictator Yahya Jammeh. She is a cunning survivor. Who does not know Isatou the ladybird, the one that flew from Kaolack's garbage, kuntaya, Brikama then Fajara residence? The symbol of Isatou is her innocent face bowing down like a shy patient. She is neither shy nor less aggressive than any other person under Yahya Jammeh.

In Support of Mr Scales Saturday, September 22, 2007 (380 reads)
By David Sambou,UK
Allow me space to express sadness to learn that Mr
Scales might not be writing any further in this
Bantaba judging by his last article. If at all Mr
scales decides not to write for obvious reasons he has
sighted, his wit and comprehensive knowledge and fair
contributions to this forum will be greatly
missed.

The superlatives of evil Saturday, September 22, 2007 (555 reads)
The superlatives of evil
Ambassador Sey conceptualizes the effects of a failing system
Everything is like a huge junk yard of superlatives of evil. When I think about bad-worse-worst. My mind coils then tries to see the opposite side or worst-worse-bad. At least turning the thread on the opposite side comes back to bad not worst. Bad is not good but it is better than worst!

Breaking News:Gambian State Warns Point Newspaper, Following Freedom Stories!! Friday, September 21, 2007 (1773 reads)
Gambian State Warns Point Newspaper, Following Freedom Stories!!
….Emergency Meeting Held At The Point
Freedom Newspaper Correspondent Famara Jammeh Embarks on French Leave Following Threats On his Life!!
“You Want To Get Killed Because of The Few Dollars You Are Paid.”
An in-depth Report on the activities of Mam Sait Ceesay.
It was on May of 2006, when the Freedom Newspaper was hacked by agents of The Gambian Government. The detained State House Assistant Press Secretary Mam Sait Ceesay was among those rejoicing over the arrest and torture of these innocent subscribers. Ceesay teamed up with the Observer MD Saja Taal, the sacked Sports Minister Omar Faye, Tijan Massaneh Ceesay of The Gambian Embassy in Washington DC, Former Junta Spokesman Ebou Jallow and other unnamed individuals to blackmail the Freedom Newspaper subscribers. Mam Sait openly branded these subscribers in his Observer Editorials as “ENEMIES OF THE GAMBIAN STATE.“ He threatened local reporters suspected of having ties with the Freedom Newspaper. Ceesay did not stop at that. He went as far as helping the NIA to trace Freedom’s erstwhile Bureau Chief Omar Bah. Ceesay made numerous unsuccessful phone calls to Editor Bah’s cellular phone. Bah at the time diverted his calls to a friend of his working with the State media. The said reporter name (withheld) nearly got arrested, as Mam Sait repeatedly threatened to call the NIA for him if the reporter fails to tell him Omar Bah’s whereabouts. Today, Mam Sait is accused of passing state secrets to the Freedom Newspaper. Interesting times. The accuser being accused. Since the matter in question is before the courts, we shall refrain from commenting on the main substance of the case.
