Has Sana Sabally Impersonated A GNA Soldier Over the Nov 11 Killings? Tapha Sanneh Writes From The UK...
Monday, December 25, 2006 (1068 reads)

By TAPHA SANNEH UK

WHEN BAD DEEDS CAN LONGER BE CONTAIN IN ONES HEAD... THEN WHAT?

Then the only remedy to this painful and slow suffering is that… there is no remedy. I am sure Sana was expecting me to name that magic pill that he was so long been awaiting for, but just like Aids there is no magic cure and unlike the latter no anti-retroviral either. However nature has to take its cause through a therapeutic process known in mandingka as “Jaburr or Jafurr”. But legend has it, once the process starts; death becomes the ultimate silencer to the sufferer. Indeed reading Sana’s articles, one cannot fail to notice the agony the guy is going through in order to make his case. Thus we should all be bracing ourselves for more revelations from Sana albeit in drips and drabs, as Sana himself subconsciously admitted… “We have to climb the ladder by taking one rung after the other until we get there someday”

Yakat And His Unfinished Lies-The Farmer That Never Was... A True Story..
Monday, December 25, 2006 (544 reads)

    By SarrehBojoh

Yakat  was termed as a liability to his family. He hate to work. His life is to walk around to gossip people round the clock. Yakat hardly says good things about people. Our town folks call him Yakat Wahkat. My first encounter with him was during a meeting held by Kingjifijafa of Jollofland. He told me that king was after his favorite. Call him a jealous man, you make no mistake. Yakat changes women  just like his pants. Kingfijafa told me not to listen to Yakat. He says Yakat was a pathological liar who would sell his person just to survive. Oh yes! I remarked... The next day Yakat took me round his orchard. Yakat told me that he was named the "farmer of the year." by the Governor of Gambisara. I was impressed by his farming techniques and the way he transformed the village into a real forest.

Breaking News:Egypt Deports A Top Gambian Security Chief Due To HIV Infection!
Monday, December 25, 2006 (1101 reads)

A senior official of Gambia's Security Services was recently denied entry in Egypt after he was diagnosed with HIV, the virus which Scientists say causes Aids. The officer named withheld for ethical reasons was among a team of  Security officers to attend a training program in Egypt. Well placed sources who spoke to the Freedom Newspaper said the officer whose wife died of HIV, received an embarrassing reception after he was handed with deportation orders by authorities in Egypt  to leave their soil within 24 hours. Egypt is one of the African countries enforcing mandatory HIV/Aids test. The idea they said was intended to prevent aids sufferers from entering their country. Despite concerns raised over such a forced HIV/Aids test Egypt is still adamant over their mandatory HIV test.

By Eleugwu Joseph

Your article is very touching and educational about the politics in The Gambia. I am from one of the continent in Africa. So much have been said and written about coup detat and killing of innocent Gambians. Fellow brothers and sisters of Africa, innocent people will continue suffer in the hands of the politicians. We cannot continue to blame the presidents and their followers. We have to come together Africans and find solution to over come all these problems ahead of us.

Horomsi:Pa Nderry"Katatoo" No, no, no, Sana Bairo Sabally..You got it all wrong!
Sunday, December 24, 2006 (795 reads)

From FreeMediaOnline.org

At FreeMediaOnline.org we are concerned that there are still too many nations where independent reporting is banned or restricted. Censorship and hate propaganda continue to stand in the way of many societies wanting to break out of the cycle of dictatorial rule, violence and poverty.

FreeMediaOnline.org is committed to helping journalists in media-at-risk-countries. Using innovative information sharing strategies, we work with independent journalists who battle against censorship, disinformation, and corruption. Our goal is to create a media environment supporting greater freedom, understanding, and tolerance.

Horomsi:Do I hear Sana Bairo Sabally calling Pa Nderry M'Bai "Katatoo" meaning a troublemaker? No, no, no, Bairo. Pa Nderry is a peacemaker contrary to the widely held view by some naive minded Gambians, especially those close to the corridors of power in Banjul. Lamin Waa Juwara was also branded as such by the APRC in the past. It's time for us Gambians to accept one and another despite our different political views on national matters. Sana Bairo Sabally would be surprised to learn that he is a good friend of Pa Nderry's own ....., which we would explain in this write up later....The Gambia is too small for crisis situation.  To let jokes aside, Sana Bairo Sabally is becoming a political animal these days. Sana for the past days succeeded in dominating online pages. His stories attracted a lot of hits. Ask computer gurus they know what we meant by that. His stories are selling. Gambians and non Gambians alike are interested about his pieces. We cannot tell at this hour whether Sana's readers mean well for him or not, but what is evident is that the guy is trying to build a political base. Like his brother Yahya Jammeh, Sana would also hate to be called a politician, but the bottomline is that all human beings are political animals including Bairo.

“WE LOVE (THE) GAMBIA”-Sana B Sabally Declares in a Dispatch!
Sunday, December 24, 2006 (704 reads)

“WE LOVE (THE) GAMBIA”

“IT DOESN’T TAKE GREAT PEOPLE TO DO GREAT THINGS--- JUST
UNSELFISH ONES.”

GAMBIANS!!! GAMBIANS!!! GAMBIANS!!!
We’ve both got responsibilities…
To the world.  To (The) Gambia.
But there’s another responsibility---to what we “FEEL”
Right or Wrong.
To speak up for the Voiceless… who had been stripped of their civil rights.
This is the time for us to stand up and defend the true democracy that we believe in where each man is created equal in the eyes of the law.
 “Like the German pastor / theologian, Dietrich Bonhoeffer (1906-1945) in the years before World War II [who resisted the Nazi regime and was executed for treason]; we must also (always);
“Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves,
For the rights of all who are destitute.
Speak up and judge fairly;
Defend the rights of the poor and needy.”

SABALLY, PLEASE TELL GAMBIANS ABOUT YOUR ROLE IN 11/11

By Yankuba Jambang,Associate Editor

Sanna Sabally has again failed to come clean about the atrocities allegedly committed under his command and watch on November 11, 1994 when scores of Gambian soldiers were rounded up and summarily executed without trial !!! However, Sanna has provided Gambians with an important clue in his latest piece to the Freedom Newspaper wherein he stated:"The plots against us [ the council (AFPRC) on Friday 11 November, 1994 aimed at very dangerous things...They tried to arrest, or injure or slay us and our families and our close bodyguards...What do you expect us to do-fold our arms and be herded to the gallows"?These words tell us that Mr. Sabally does have valuable knowledge about the alleged execution of late Lt. Basiru Barrow and dozen other members of the Gambia National Army.

Sabally’s Magic Formula
A Book Review
By Foday Samateh

Title: Instant Success
─ The Ten Commandments of Personal Achievement and the Road to Enduring Riches. (pp. 74)
Author: Momodou Sabally
Price: $10
Available: Amozon.com

Sabally and I have spent rounds of unsparingly passionate, vivacious clash of views on the Philosopher Napoleon Hill. His last e-mail on the subject was a digital equivalent of an artillery fire targeted into my stronghold to incapacitate me into unconditional surrender. The unmistakable declaration of the self-proclaimed victor to his presumed poor vanquished was as admirable in its point-scoring calculation as in its polemical flourish: That he thoroughly studied Dr. Hill, while I merely read this deep thinker. I escaped the bombarding impact unscathed and un-intimidated. I am as persistent as he is not to call it quits until the indisputable winner takes his victim a gasping prisoner. However, I admit, unlike me, my most worthy adversary has produced a solid and sound evidence of his intellectual claim.

Sana Sabally Murdered Gambian Soldiers-Journalist Senghore Alleges-Lt.Binneh Minteh Also speaks..
Saturday, December 23, 2006 (994 reads)

By Journalist Gheran Senghore

With all due respect Mr. Sabally, you should be the last person to give an account of what happened on November 11th. It was you who gave the order and actively paticipated in the execution of your fellow officers. Most of who died without knowing what they were being killed  for. You have no account to give, you murdered Gambian soldiers without putting them before a court of law. I was lucky to have covered the trial of Lt's. Jammeh, Jarjue and Sgt Bah who narrated what happened on that night to the court.
