Governor Omar Khan And Others Exposed!

By A Concerned Gambian

Pa,

Please allow me to throw some light on the happenings at Basse, to be precise the Governor’s Office and the area council. The sacking of the Chairman of the council was baseless and politically motivated. Three people are mixing the two institutions mentioned above namely Omar Khan governor, Yusupha Manneh CEO and the number one opportunist, womanizer and theft Pa Amadou Suso. Pa Amadou is the biggest opportunist ever born on a Gambian soil, when he was working with MRC he was a great opposition to Yaya Jammeh and AFPRC/APRC.

Dr. Amadou Scattered Janneh, the former Information Minister, has been officially confirmed as a prisoner of conscience after a Nigerian judge sentenced him to life imprisonment on charges of plotting to dislodge the administration of dictator Yahya Jammeh through forceful means. The remaining accused persons were each jailed three years with hard labor by the court. Families, friends and loved ones wept in court as paramilitary police escorted the naturalized Gambian American citizen to prison. The verdict left the entire nation pondering about the rationale behind such a harsh sentence.  Printing a t-shirt advocating for a regime change cost Dr. Janneh his life.

WE KILLED DEYDA HYDARA—SELF CONFESSED JAMMEH HIT MAN TELLS FREEDOM NEWSPAPER!

We were instructed by President Yahya Jammeh on the eve of the Point Newspaper anniversary back in December 16th 2004, to shoot and kill the paper’s Managing Editor Deyda Hydara, alleges a self confessed hit man for Gambia’s President Yahya Jammeh during an hour long interview with the Freedom Newspaper on Saturday.

“I was part of the team that followed Mr. Hydra, and the other passengers on board his vehicle at the material time. I was accompanied by Major Sana Manjang, Ex Army Colonel Kawsu Camara, alias (Bombaredeh), Malick Jatta, Tumbul Tamba (Deceased), and co while Interior Minister Ousman Sonko coordinated the entire operation. We were armed with double barrel gun. This type of weapon is not part of the Gambia Armed Forces weaponry. The President personally instructed us to use the double barrel guns to avoid the army being linked to the incident. It was a well coordinated operation,” further alleges the Gambian soldier. Below is the full text of the transcribed interview we had with the self confessed Jammeh hit man.

Gambia: Editorial: Dr. Janneh Is Gambia’s Greek Philosopher Socrates!

Editorial: Dr. Janneh Is Gambia’s Greek Philosopher Socrates!

The trial of Dr. Amadou Scattered Janneh reminds us about the case of the Greek philosopher Socrates, who was  found guilty of both corrupting the minds of the youth of Athens and of impiety ("not believing in the gods of the state"),  and subsequently sentenced to death by drinking a mixture containing poison hemlockThe online search engine Wikipedia   nhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Socrates reported that "Socrates' paradoxical wisdom made the prominent Athenians he publicly questioned look foolish, turning them against him and leading to accusations of wrongdoing. Socrates defended his role as a gadfly until the end: at his trial, when Socrates was asked to propose his own punishment, he suggests a wage paid by the government and free dinners for the rest of his life instead, to finance the time he spends as Athens' benefactor."

President Jammeh Makes More Sacrifices at Gunjur Shrine

The increasingly megalomaniac President Jammeh, who has now taken to human and animal sacrifice, has intensified his nefarious and superstitious practices with yet another visit to Gunjur Kenkeng Jamenghoto shrine. The self-proclaimed dictator was driving himself in a black Limousine. With a large motorcade and security detail in tow, president Jammeh Sunday bulldozed his way to the shrine down the coast with over a dozen bulls for sacrifice on the rocks in the sea.

The Gambia: Dr. Amadou S. Janneh and Co.; the closing argument

By Mathew K Jallow

Crunch time is upon us. The prosecutor has spoken. Guided by the state prosecutor, the witnesses too have spoken. After weeks of testimonies, the frivolous trial of Dr. Amadou Scattred Janneh and his codefendants is finally coming to a conclusion. The trial period was unbearable in more ways than one. The sight of Dr. Janneh and codefendants handcuffed and in leg shackles, is more than anyone could bear to behold, but seeing them being lifted off the ground like furniture items and placed in the backs of military trucks, brought tears to the eyes of many Gambians. And the one question every Gambian wants answered is why any innocent person should be subjected to such inhuman treatment.

CDS Massaneh Kinteh’s NDEA Agent Brother Dismissed!

There is a lot of backstabbing at the National Drug Enforcement Agency (NDEA).  We will tell you why in a minute.  Batch Kinteh, an NDEA agent, who is also a brother to the current Chief of Defense Staff Massaneh Kinteh has been sacked with effect from this past Friday. Batch’s dismissal has do with missing mobile phones belonging to an inmate he was escorting to Banjul for further processing, we learnt.  Mr. Kinteh left his charge office in Serre-Kunda, where he was ordered to escort the drug suspect to Banjul with a case file. On arrival in Banjul, Batch said he couldn’t find the two mobile phones entrusted to him, our source said.  Although, he admitted receiving the mobile phones at the NDEA Serre-Kunda Charge office but couldn’t account for it.
