Shame On Jammeh!!!!

….Jammeh Can only Be Removed By A Coup

It Is A Waste To Sponsor The Gambian Opposition

We were taken aback, when Gambia’s President Yahya Jammeh shamelessly condemned the recent military takeover in Guinea Conakry. Jammeh lacks the moral authority to condemn coups. He seizes power through unconstitutional means and therefore Mr. Jammeh should be the last person to preach about democracy. Jammeh is equally a criminal, who undermined our national constitution through forceful means of changing a democratically elected Government, led by the erstwhile Gambian President Jawara. Yahya Jammeh should shut up!!! He is no better than the Guinean mutineers. Here is the kettle calling the pot black. What a shame!!!!

How About If God Ends Jammeh’s Gov’t Tomorrow?-Scales Asked

…As Scales Raises Pertinent Questions About Jammeh’s Future Replacement!!!!!

“The various commentators on The Gambian " condition  " collectively criticise the Jammeh regime, but fail constantly to say what should replace him and what the change would bring. Without this manifesto, the argument persists as almost irrelevant and mere conjecture,.” Michael Scales Writes from England

Dear Mr. Editor,

If the "hand of God" conspired to remove the APRC from the political landscape of The Gambia tomorrow morning…..The question remains what would God leave in its place by the afternoon? Would The Gambia's new Government find its niche' in the Western style of Democracy or would it be just waiting for the next coup de eta? Whether you like Jammeh or not, one thing you have to give him is respect for the way in which he has consolidated power. The various commentators on The Gambian “condition  " collectively criticise the Jammeh regime, but fail constantly to say what should replace him and what the change would bring. Without this manifesto, the argument persists as almost irrelevant and mere conjecture.

Jammeh Condemns Guinean Coup!!!

…“As He Accuses Wade And Other Coup Backers As “ Hypocrites and Enemies Of Development.”

By Staff Writer Fatoumata Jallow, Banjul

Gambia’s President Yahya Jammeh has said that African leader(s) who supported the recent military takeover in Guinea Conakry, were doing it for their own selfish interest and not in the greater interest of impoverished Guineans. Addressing reporters shortly after his arrival from the African Summit held in Lagos Nigeria, Jammeh accuses coup backers of being enemies of democracy and development. Mr. Jammeh who came to power through a coup, has publicly condemned the recent mutiny in Guinea Conakry led by  an army Captain Camara. Jammeh’s statement followed a declaration made by Senegalese President Abdoulie Wade supporting the coupists. Wade says he was personally contacted by the coup leader Captain Camara to serve as the junta’s international spokesman. But President Jammeh believes that coup deserves to be condemned by all true democrats and freedom loving nations.

Controversy Surrounds Ambassador Sarjo Jallow’s Multiple Wife Story!!!

As Jallow’s Wife Speaks!!!!

A Bah-(rack )response to "A private Investigator"

….“Sajo Jallow is still struggling to resolve his choice of two wives. There is no third wife. Not yet anyway,.”says Jainaba Bah

Dear Mr. Mbai!

The first time I responded to your March publication on The Freedom newspaper, I was hoping that would have been the last as we call it a closed chapter.Obviously, it seems there are forces out there religiously dedicated to wreak havoc on the Bah-Jallow household. I mean how many times in heavens name do we have to "Break News"?Now, my friend in the South would want me to exercise some 'Kabunkaya' mute bravery here, but since I am not suffering from expressive aphasia, I would take on this lastchallenge with my usual Fulani stride:-)!

US Court Issues 97-Year Prison Sentence for Liberian Ex-Leader's Son

09 January 2009

A U.S. judge has issued a 97-year prison term against the son of former Liberian leader Charles Taylor for torture in the West African nation. Taylor's son was convicted for abuses during his father's rule.

The Miami judge imposed the prison term after Charles McArthur Emmanuel, also known as Chuckie Taylor, was convicted under a U.S. law that allows prosecutions for torture committed anywhere in the world. Emmanuel was accused of leading a paramilitary group from 1997 to 2003, which was blamed for killing and beating political opponents.

The court on Friday heard from several victims, who said they were tortured by Emmanuel and his group, the Demon Forces. One woman cried when she said her husband was committing no crimes when he was shot by forces loyal to the Charles Taylor government.

….As Scales Accuses Daily Observer Of Being A Hater!!!

Dear Mr.Editor,

May I as a concerned British citizen take abrupt exception to the editorial  "using religion as a cover for violence "  published in the Daily Observer. This without due consideration to the good bilateral relationship between the U.K. and The Gambia. The writer.. Presumed to be in the pay of The Observer, confirms the " Hell hole " status of Mile 2 prison and charges Britain for its construction. Mr. Editor..." two wrongs don't never make a right."

Portrait of Casanova by Alessandro Longhi

The art of seduction
For Casanova, as well as his fellow sybarites of the upper class, love and sex were more casual and less endowed with the seriousness later bestowed by the Romantic movement during the 19th century.[Flirtations, bedroom games, and short-term liaisons were common among nobles who married for social connections rather than love. For Casanova, it was an open field of sexual opportunities (and disease).
