Relationship between President Yahya Jammeh and his sacked Information Minister Neneh Macwdowl Gaye has not been cordial, as the latter rejected an ambassadorial appointment recently offered to her by the Gambian leader, the Freedom Newspaper can authoritatively report. Neneh Macdowl Gaye is reported to have turned down her new assignment to serve as Gambia’s Ambassador to the United Nation’s Security Council in New York. Embarrassed by these developments, President Jammeh recalled Sussan Waffa Ogoo who was earlier appointed Gambia’s Ambassador to India. She now replaces Neneh Macwdowl Gaye, who is currently being watched by the National Intelligence Agency.

12 Detainees  Escape  at  Brikama  Police  Station

At least twelve  detainees  who were cooling their feet behind bar at the Brikama Police Station have reportedly escaped from custody on Friday night and  their whereabouts except one still  remain something of a mystery at the time of filling this report.According to authoritative sources, the escapees  include  criminals who were charged with various  offences  such as drug possession, stealing, and rape . " These people were accused of  different degrees of  offences and they  where supposed to be arraigned before a magistrates' court to the answer charges levelled against.  In fact,  one of  them is  being charged with  raping  a teenage  girl resident in Brikama town." said our sources at the Brikama  
  

Breaking News: Immigration Department Hit By Passport Shortage!!

The Gambian Immigration Department (GID)  has been sharply criticized for its snails-pace  in issuing  passports to Gambians. According to confirmed sources GID is currently grappling with passports shortages  as a result it  issue only ten passports in every week, leaving hundreds of applications unprocessed.Many disgruntled Gambians who spoke to Freedom Newspaper  accused the staffers of the  Immigration Department of ineptitude . "There is lots of bureaucratic red tapes and corruption at the Immigration. I think the President should extend his Operation No Compromise Policy there" said an aggrieved Gambian who prefers  anonymity.

Eventhough i do not know your identity, i believe you are a mandinka man.I am always wondering why mandinka men hate their women.Mandinka women are very strong ,beautiful and very loyal and faithful. All my relatives who are married, the ones that last are the ones with mandinka women and not the wolof women who they busy themselves with after abandoning their sisters. I am a wolof and married to a wolof but my most loyal friends are mandinkas. Why do you mention Ismaila Sambous wife as a pompous mandinka woman. You want to know how many mandinak men are destroyed by wolof women?
