Editorial-The African Union should stop the "double standards"- A boring Summit awaits Banjul!!! Wednesday, June 21, 2006 (601 reads)
EDITORIAL The African Union Summit,
slated to take place in Banjul, will be a boring one. Boring in the
sense that the man hosting the forum dictator President Yahya Jammeh is
struggling with international and local isolation. With the recent
suspenson of the United States millennium challenge account, the
political and economic uncertainties gripping the country, Jammeh has
nothing to tell his colleagues, when they arrived in Banjul in few days
time. Very, very bad moment for Jammeh and his allies.
Pa Nderry M'Bai Freedom Newspaper, Managing Editor cum Publisher-He take issues with the AU.

Horomsi:Information Minister Neneh Macdowl Gaye is a real husband snatcher-who is Ramatoulie Jallow? Wednesday, June 21, 2006 (1047 reads)
Horomsi: Gambia's
Information Minister Neneh Macdowl Gaye, is a real husband
snatcher. This story Horomisi is writing might sound strange to my dear
readers, but is a true story. Minister Neneh's betrayal schemes against
our decent men and women of our country dates back in the early 90's.
This lady snatched the husband of Ramatoulie Jallow, Pa Gaye who worked
at GAMTEL. Neneh is twice older than Ramatoulie, but she succeeded in
snatching Ramatoulie from Pa Gaye. She broke the matrimonial home of madam
Jallow, who left the Gambia, amidst threat on her life. Neneh hired all
kinds of marabouts to undermine madam Jallow, who is described as
"Africa's beauty queen." She is a beautiful young lady so to speak and the
likes of Neneh can only succeed in snatching her husband through
"Marabout business."
 Husband snatcher Neneh seats
near Baboucarr Jatta.

PANORAMA with 'Bulfaaleh'-President Jammeh,Alharafi,Boto Construction a cycle of corrupt practices. Wednesday, June 21, 2006 (717 reads)
President Jammeh receives royalties from Boto Construction and Alharafi Construction. According
to very reliable sources from within the state house in
Banjul,President Jammeh has two fresh cows he is constantly milking.
These two cows are ALHARAFI and BOTO CONSTRUCTION respectively.
President Jammeh's corruption is no longer a secret. He has his hand in
every business venture on the ground. Of course the points and
observations which were stipulated in the press release emanating from
the MCC-MCA cum US Government and Congress were absolutely accurate.
President Jammeh's corruption and his record on bad governance has been
proven beyond reasonable doubt. There is no doubt in the minds of those
who know President Jammeh that he will very soon start insulting the
west. He will accuse them of endless things because he has been shown
the red card.
 Thief Jammeh exposed!!!!

Teeth Bite-Jammeh/Neneh Macdowl Gaye affair-Bora Mboge a "victim" of betrayal Tuesday, June 20, 2006 (1013 reads)
Gambia's Information Minister Neneh Macdowl Gaye,
could be best described as President Yahya Jammeh's unofficial wife.
Jammeh listens more to Neneh than even his own First Lady Zeinab Suma
Jammeh. Neneh decides what Jammeh should puts on and how he should
comport himself in public. This lady dictates to Jammeh who should be
hired or fired. She also tells Jammeh which media house should be
closed and what not. The relationship between the two is no secret. The
government should not take offence of this statement. We are reporting
what State House sources relayed to us. State House sources said that
President Jammeh is attracted by the lady and would execute whatever
directive issued by Neneh these days-be it Godly or unGodly.

Horomsi: Omar Fye, FJC, Neneh Macdowl Gaye, Yanks Jali Touray undermined SoS Samba Faal!!! Monday, June 19, 2006 (1026 reads)
Horomsi: Omar Fye, is a very
dangerous Gambian so to speak. This shameless dude undermined Samba
Faal to take his Ministerial post. Omar started his undermining schemes
by framing Baboucarr Jatta. He tells the President all kinds of lies
just to get that delicate Ministerial position. But for some reasons,
Jilanka was not keen at replacing Baboucarr. Baboucarr we are told, had
big support in the army and his removal could cost Jammeh dearly. His
intelligence warns him to refrain from removing Jatta, who is being
viewed as a " a potential threat" if unceremoniously removed.

CPJ statement welcomes the United States’ decision to suspend aid to the Gambia Monday, June 19, 2006 (382 reads)
CPJ statement welcomes the United States’ decision to suspend aid to the Gambia
New York, June 19, 2006—The
Committee to Protect Journalists issued the following statement today
in response to the decision by the U.S. government’s Millennium
Challenge Corporation to suspend aid to the Gambia, citing government
restrictions on press freedom in addition to human rights abuses and
political repression“Over the past several months, CPJ has
documented and protested against a vicious crackdown on press freedom
in the Gambia; authorities have shuttered a critical newspaper,
imprisoned journalists without due process, and moved to prosecute a
reporter under a restrictive press law. In addition, the government has
failed to prosecute anyone in connection with the murder in 2004 of
prominent editor Deyda Hydara,” said Julia Crawford, Africa Program
Coordinator for CPJ. “In light of this deeply troubling pattern, we
welcome the Millennium Challenge Corporation’s decision to suspend aid
to the Gambia.”

What a Joke: Jammeh's Circus Government. Monday, June 19, 2006 (641 reads)
By Associate Editor Mathew K Jallow
Whenever I
hear the name of Kanilai village, my memory will race back through the
years to a time, not too long ago, when Banjul was still innocent. At
one of the most famous addresses in Banjul, on Hagan Street where I was
boy growing up, the name Kanilai was heard as often as Sare
Gainako, Mansajang, Fulabantang and Njongon; towns and villages where
the bulk of the "mission boys" came from. The Catholic Mission on Hagan
Street brought all of us together, and created life-long bonds of
friendship that endure to this day. Back then, all of us at the mission
house were awed by this boy from Kanilai.

If Mariam Denton Should Die in Jail? Sunday, June 18, 2006 (768 reads)
By Baati Jollof
Dear Comrades, countrymen and countrywomen it is now apparent that Yahya wants to do away with anyone that he perceives to be his opponent or enemy most especially, the established political opponents, people working in the media and above all the defenders of human rights. The unwarranted arrests and arbitrary detention of innocent Gambians, coupled with the inhumane torture of the detainees and the continued intimidation of the civil service and the population in general, by Yahya's deadly henchmen tells a lot about our beloved country. Today our country bleeds, as our sons and daughters continue to disappear, while others like Mariam Denton are held unjustifiably in solitary confinement, in very deplorable and inhumane conditions, just because they have been courageous enough to stand up and speak the truth.

PANORAMA with 'Bulfaaleh'-APRC Vultures on Japanese aid at Old Mbye Njie and Sons! Sunday, June 18, 2006 (633 reads)
Gambians did not benefit from the Japanese food aid,it was being sold by the state guard and President Jammeh's nephew Aziz Tamba.
At old Mbye Njie and Son's place KSMD, Aziz Tamba,Musa Jammeh and Corporal Joof were selling the Japanese food aid. This is a hard fact. I was one of those who came to the vicinity some months back. I saw these people in action,it is of course a crime wrapped within disgrace. Aziz Tamba is the right hand man of President Jammeh. He runs his private and public errands. President Jammeh has a hand in every venture. He magnetises money from left, right and center. President Jammeh does things deliberately he cares less about who says what. This will cost him dearly but it will also cost us as Gambians dearly before and after he leaves the state house. Our president is a liability.
