Editorial: Warning To Jammeh’s Critics Overseas!!!!

…A Secret Killing Agenda Hatched By Jammeh!!

Yahya Jammeh thinks that he is smart. He is the biggest fool you can find on the face of the earth. He is recruiting his militants overseas to possibly kill us the perceived enemies. These are people with vicious tendencies. They are hired to do secret killings for Jammeh, through the form of poisoning. They are too obvious to a point that- one can easily spot them out during social functions. For the records, we are not afraid of death. It is only God who gives, and takes life. If you think that you can secretly poison us and get away with it, you must be kidding. The hired killers should relax, as we are ten times ahead of you. We shall prevail no matter what.

Open Letter to Pa Nderry

Dear Pa Nderry,

First I apologize for the presumption that you or anyone will listen to me but as a Gambian, a Pan African, a Muslim and a Human Being, I am very disturbed by the above direction.I respect your right and role as a journalist and your dedication to all issues Gambian but as humans, we can all make mistakes. I believe that maybe your intention is not to stir ethnic antagonism and even maybe to reveal what you perceive as President Jammeh's ethnic biases, but I think what you are doing in this particular case is the right way to go about it.But I urge you to review this stand as even if you are right you risk also being reverse ethicist. [I am sure you are aware of victims of racism and racists become reverse racists]. One can ask why are you only selecting the Jolas, when a greater majority of people in Public and Civil Services of The Gambia are non-Jola.

Jammeh Deserves No Respect!!!!

Calls Jammeh A serial Killer

By Tijan Jeng

Pa,  please inform that guy called ‘Lamin Njie’ that Jammeh do not deserve any form of respect because he is a ruthless tyrant and a despot who has no respect himself.I for one never called Jammeh a President simply because he is not serving my interest or that of my people. He is not honest, or peaceful person and he will soon mess our country up violently.

Gambia Launches New ID, And Biometric Control System!!!!

WHERE IS GAMBIA HEADING TO UNDER JAMMEH?

As Gambia  Launches New ID, And Biometric Control System!!!!
 By Alieu Touray
Our national coffer is in tatters, our security bleak than ever before, our health services deteriorated, our education falling behind and our social cohesion rapidly declining. I am too scared now. Therefore, I can’t keep quiet any longer. I once told my colleague at the Central Bank that one day Gambians will cry as longer as Jammeh remains in power. He is a very greedy leader as the British national living in Gambia once said and I think it was wrong for the NIA to arrest this brave man for speaking the truth.

Calling President Jammeh “JANKADING”  Is Unacceptable!!!

Please Treat The President With Respect-Says Lamin Njie

By Lamin Njie

Dear Mr. Mbai,

Please allow me to give you a little piece of advice, as a Gambian brother. I understand that you are among the Gambian prolific writers today, and as  "credible journalist", some of the headlines on Freedom newspaper are way too much to publish on a newspaper; like insulting a head of state with such profanity. I think as Chief Editor, such vulgar - in reference to "Jankading", should never come to discussion as to whether it should be  published.

“Yahya Jammeh Cannot Survive Another Year In Office,”-Town Crier

Dear Readers,

For sometime now,  I have decided to hibernate as all I have advised Oga fell into a thick skull and deaf ears that can only hear one voice and that is Oga’s own voice. Am I surprised? No! Am not. This is the trend of dictators. They don’t listen to common sense because they don’t have any. I want to take you through a tour of Oga's line of thought and why he behaves the way he does. Yahya cannot survive a year in office if everything is quiet and smooth moving here in Gambia. He survives by creating tension. We have seen and have been experiencing preferential treatment from the army, civil service, down to other law enforcement agencies. Peace and tranquility will accord those of us serving him time to think and plan against him.

Saints Alumni Officially Launched in Atlanta, Georgia

By Yankuba Mamburay

The formal inauguration of the Saint Augustine’s High School Alumni and that of the Gough Foundation that took place on Friday, August 14, 2009, started with a real demonstration of the peaceful coexistence our two religions - Islam and Christianity. Father Gough, just as he proved to be a good bridge between Muslims and Christians by being the first to introduce Islamic Studies and hiring two Islamic teachers at St. Augustine’s High School, came to the Friday Muslim congregation prayers at Masjid Taqwa in Greenbrier, Atlanta, Georgia. For him attending the Muslim prayer is an indication of Catholic Church’s respect for Islam and a validation of the peaceful co-existence of the two religions, especially in The Gambia. Fr. Gough was welcomed to be in attendance as the Imam of The Gambian community in Atlanta and the head Imam of the said mosque, Imam Bye- Ibrahim Secka, was his student, an alumnus of SAHS.

Scales On Nigeria’s Oil

Scales On Nigeria’s Oil

Dear Mr. Editor,

I must admit to several mixed feelings at present events upon the African continent. Hillary Clinton, certainly new a thing or two about Nigeria and caused some expected controversy over her comments about  Nigeria's top graft busters, the EFCC. She presented the view that the EFCC had "fallen off" over the last 12 months. She hit the "Nail on the head" when she said Nigeria had squandered much of its gains from the Oil bonanza to corruption. Official estimates indicate that some $300 million dollars had been lost its corruption over the last 30 years. Certainly Africa suffers from official corruption, extending to all levels of government. This is certainly one of the reasons that African countries continue to 'bump along the bottom " of the world league tables for development and poverty reduction, compared to other former colonial outposts.

Yahya Jammeh’s Private Plane Grounded At The Washington DC Dulles Jet Center!!!

….Corrupt African Despot Exposed Beyond Redemption

Millions Of Tax payers Money Went Into Plane Landing Fees

By  Modou Kujabi, Banjul

This plane you are watching online belongs to President Yahya Jammeh of The Gambia.  It is Jammeh’s private jet. The plane has been grounded at the Washington Dulles jet center for the past three weeks, the Freedom Newspaper can authoritatively report.  Highly placed sources reaching this paper say it cost Government about $500-750 US dollars per night just to park the said plane at the DC Dulles jet center. Gambians do the math for yourself. How many millions are we going to waste from tax payers coffers,  if the said plane continues to be grounded in DC?  Yahya Jammeh has once again been exposed beyond redemption by the Freedom Newspaper. A well trusted source informed the Freedom Newspaper that the said presidential jet has been grounded for a while now. The source said the President has been lavishly wasting tax payers money on aviation landing related fees overseas.

What Goes Around Comes Around

Yahya Jammeh, And Others Declared Wanted!!!

By Mathew K Jallow

He has a hospital named after his father Sulayman Junkung Jammeh in Bwiam, a police station named after his mother, Asombi Bojang in Kalagi, a health center named after his wife Zenib Jammeh in Koina, a skills center named after his son Mohamed, somewhere in the Greater Banjul area, and a whole country named after himself. His name, in case you don’t know, is Yahya Jankading Jammeh. But, that is just a tip of the iceberg. He is heavily involved in business, despite the moral and ethical dilemmas presented by a so-called politician’s dabbling in profit-making adventures. His business interests span the gambit; from sales and manufacture of bread, to transportation, supply and sale of meat and meat products, operation of equipment at the Gambia Ports Authority, the supply of consignment products to the hotel industry such as agricultural produce, meat and bread, and he owns nearly half a dozen highly mechanized farms in the Western and North Bank Division of our country; not to mention nearly hundred farms poor villagers all around the country are pressed into cultivating for him by village chiefs and commissioners.
