PANORAMA with 'Bulfaaleh'-President Jammeh and the Hydara family...Some for coups, some for security. Monday, November 13, 2006 (1354 reads)
The Hydara family geography in The Gambia and President Jammeh.
Understanding President Jammeh's styles and approaches means one should be methodical and observant. About two to three months back I wrote a story on the rivalry between Harry Sambou and Hydara the new Director of Jammeh's Intelligence agency. Of course we also predicted this ie if Jammeh were to have a problem with Harry Sambou it could as well be Hydara who will stay to replace him. Harry's worse enemy at the NIA was Hydara,at least that is what Harry believed in his head. He used that believe then sidelined Hydara and was working on every dirty scheme to frame the man. Hydara is the husband of Fatou Njie protocol officer attached to the first lady Zeinab Suma Jammeh. Life is so interesting.

Iranian radio revives Papal-Jewish conspiracy theories Monday, November 13, 2006 (325 reads)
Iranian radio revives Papal-Jewish conspiracy theories
FreeMediaOnline.org Free Media Online, Dublin, CA, November 12, 2006 -- Iranian state broadcaster Voice of Islamic Republic of Iran is promoting a new conspiracy theory involving Pope Benedict XVI and former U.S. secretary of state Dr. Henry Kissinger. [ Link] As in many of its previous propaganda broadcasts, the focus of the latest Iranian radio report is an alleged conspiracy involving a well-known member of the Jewish-American community. The report contains logical and factual mistakes, but its propaganda value among many intended audiences is not likely to be diminished by the lack of sophistication and basic errors.
Commenting on a recent private audience granted to Henry Kissinger by Pope Benedict XVI at the Vatican, the Iranian broadcaster described Henry Kissinger as "anti-Christian" presumably because he is Jewish. The Iranian radio stated that "this is not the first time the Vatican, which claims to be champion of Christianity uses foreign, anti-Christian experts."

PANORAMA with 'Bulfaaleh'-Harry Sambou at MILE TWO JAIL Confinement wing. Monday, November 13, 2006 (1106 reads)
Harry Sambou at Mile Two
Today is the day of another element on the long list of people to be dumped by President Jammeh's machine. Some months back Harry was rehired and raised to higher heights. As soon as Harry boy was taken in I 'Bulfaaleh' was never convinced that, Harry was in President Jammeh's good books. I wrote this moons ago. Harry boy was warned but he never heeded. Even if what I was writing was not pleasant for Harry and Willy 'Rat' they as a family should have heeded for the sake of saving their jobs. Harry was warned to stop talking too much. Because of that habit he was called 'tammeh'.The same 'tammeh' habit was why President Jammeh called him a Russian double agent. He was called a a Russian double agent because of three reasons.
1/He studied in Russia before,
2/He talks too much,
3/President Jammeh used the word Russian ironically but he was refering to diplomats from western Europeans countries serving in The Gambia. Diplomats Jammeh suspected of meeting and talking to Harry all the time.

TRIBUTE MY LATE FRIEND MR. PA AMAT JAGNE Monday, November 13, 2006 (608 reads)
TRIBUTE MY LATE FRIEND MR. PA AMAT JAGNE
By: Sulayman A. Bah, United Kingdom.
On Monday morning, November 6th 2006, my mobile phone rang, I answered only to be informed of the inevitable news: the death of one of my mentors, Mr. Pa Amat Jagne. What was the cause of his death, I asked the caller, he died as a result of the cooking gas explosion incident in Kanifing, he said in a low, meek and mild voice. I responded with the words, “IN NA LI LAHI WA INALILAH RAZIOUNA” (Ps. accept my spelling). It is very untimely to loose Mr. Jagne at this time, especially while performing his duties as a Red Cross volunteer, the job he cherishes with all his heart. Equally, it’s sympathetic to loose the other victims too who passed away along with him and I wholeheartedly pray to God to grant them Al-Janna ( Paradise ) through his mercy. My prayers and thoughts are to those currently hospitalised both in the country (RVTH) and abroad wishing them speedy recovery. It’s what the Red Cross refer to as “Accidents can happen to anyone, anywhere and at anytime”. That was the exact scenario which happened to my dear friend, colleague and boss, Pa Jagne and co. involved in the incident.

Professor Saine On Gambia's Political History! Thursday, November 09, 2006 (815 reads)
Pa: I am sending this review for the interest of your readers. Thanks, Abdoulaye Saine ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A Political History of The Gambia, 1816-1994 by Arnold Hughes and David Perfect, Rochester: University of Rochester Press, 2006, Pp.530, $90.00 The first of its kind, A Political History of The Gambia is a well-written and richly documented volume that tells an important story about a tiny West African country whose viability as a nation at independence in 1965, was questionable. The introduction is a clear articulation of the book’s objectives and its various sub-sections. It is both thematically and logically organized and each of the eleven chapters and their sub-sections flow well into each other to reveal an interesting and complex interplay of history, political actors and outcomes.
