The Secret Behind the arrest and prosecution of Malick Jones and Mam Sait Ceesay-Lamarana Jallow-Jallow changes email address!

Mam Ceesay and Malick Jones Fired With Immediate Effect- Lamarana Jallow discloses!

Dear Editors,

Please cease to communicate with me on my old email address. I have discarded the said email for security reasons. Throughout, the weekend we have been busy investigating the Observer and GRTS story on JT Kujabi's replacement. I was part of the investigating team who questioned Malick Jones, Mam Sait Ceesay, Saja Taal and others. The President is taking such a move to tame some of us releasing classified state files to  the Freedom Newspaper. He is increasingly worried about some of the stories filed by Justice Sam, Karafa Badjie, Bulfaaleh, Famara Jammeh and my humble self. He said there is no way that these people can report such factual stories without having direct access to the State House. Indeed, he is right. We work here and can access any file that we deem necessary. The whole story behind the arrest of these people centered on the Freedom Newspaper recent stories on the Central Bank, the killers of Deyda Hydara, Jammeh's cancelled Taiwan trip, the division in the army, just to name a few. As a seasoned intelligence officer, I can tell you that these people are being used as scapegoats. We just laughed when instructions came from HE to arrest these named journalists. Even if he wants to use the arrest of these individuals as "counter intelligence" strategy this is not the way.

LETTER TO SANKANU’S BABYSITTER FROM THE WATCHMAN

Dear babysitter: I have adopted an orphan named Sankanu. He is a very difficult kid to deal with so before I drop him off at the nursery tomorrow please take note of his following bad habits: 1. He has a very hard time controlling his emotions. Understandably, this is an infant characteristic but baby Sankanu takes it to extremes. Watch how you tell him “no” because if it becomes apparent he can’t get his way, he throws a fit and makes terrible faces. This can scare the other well-behaved kids and embarrass me as a parent

He or she is a qualified COWARD and if we the progressive fighters allow our world to be led by cowards, we would find ourselves living as hunters and gatherers!

Foroya's Modou Nyang recently reported that the Gambia Football Association Secretary General Jammeh Bojng left Banjul for the United Kingdom for Masters Program Degree, but it seems the sudden departure of Mr.Bojang is creating an unfinished speculations. Reports have it that the former GFA Secretary fled with huge amount of money to the UK. Armed soldiers were reported to be looking for Mr.Bojang, whose departure came as a surprise to the football body. There was no formal handing over ceremony accorded to Bojang, thus raising well founded concern in sports circles that he might as well dipped his hands into the coffers of GFA. Prior to his alleged absconding, Jammeh Bojang, was alleged to have not been getting along with GFA officials-most importantly Gabbi Sosseh. FA officials say Bajang's failure to summit to an audit probe confirms about his alleged corrupt activities. It's not yet clear how much money Mr.Bojang must have squandered, but sources say the former GFA Secretary left with substantial amount of money. News of his departure reaches football governing authorities here during the weekend.

THE TRYANNY OF BUBACAR SANKANU’S PEN -Sankanu sent to the cleaners!
Tuesday, September 11, 2007 (789 reads)

By The Watchman

On July 21st 1944, Claus Von Stauffenberg, one of the leaders of the heroic plot to rid Germany of Adolf Hitler’s tyranny was executed. Before his demise, he shouted “Long live Germany!” This defiance in the face of despotism is in the process of being shot as a movie, Valkyrie, starring Tom Cruise. Today, Germany is a staunch bastion of democracy, a fact reflected by the re-opening of its largest synagogue; a far cry from its horrific relations with Jews. How ironic then that within this reformed enclave of guaranteed rights, an African “journalist” (or ex-journalist or whatever) with a penchant for pompous screeds and mea culpas on behalf of oppression resides. Bubacar Sankanu’s columns on the Freedom Newspaper have been nothing but a pseudo-intellectual freak show. He has engaged in ad hominem jabs, condescending “commentary” and outright verbal bullying of his detractors. Mr. Sankanu has a right to expression however puerile it may be. The problem posed by this pest is akin to the current political mismatch in The Gambia: There has not been robust opposition in the face of unchecked irresponsibility.
