By Staff Reporter James Jammeh, and Modou Barry Banjul
Following Jammeh’s sudden takeover of the affairs of The Gambia Ports Authority and The Gambia Civil Aviation, Gambians are expressing concern over the President’s “greed” and lack of respect for the nation’s constitution. The mentally challenged Gambian President has been accused of steeping his bounds as a head of state. The concerned Gambians believe that Jammeh is an idle President who wants to poke his dirty hands into every aspect of the country’s economy. A senior Civil Servant who wished not to be named for fear of possible reprisals said the President constantly violates the constitution with impunity. The Civil Servant said Jammeh has no right to transfer the GPA and GCAA to his office without the blessing of the National Assembly. The official adds that he now believed that the President is mentally unstable with his lack of leadership foresight and fortitude.

May Hydara’s Kids Live To Witness Jammeh’s Demise-Writes Boy Pulo
…As He calls On Jammeh To Step Down Before It Is Too Late
By Boy Pulo
Dear Mr. President,
It is 15 years since you took our freedom away from us and turned our dear Gambia into a terror state. Gambians are like prisoners in their own homes with no hope for freedom. Families are left with no bread winners; children left as orphans with no father figures, all because of your brutality. You have turned families and friends against each other to the extent that Gambians are living in constant fear. You have turned one of Africa’s best democratic state to a totalitarian/terror state governed by decrees from you instead of the constitution you swore to uphold. You are nothing but a dictator. When is this going to end Mr. President? We cannot wait to gain our freedom from a brutal murderer like you. Think about the people you murdered and maimed for the past 15 horrible years. Do you have any remorse Mr. President? How many more are you going to murder? Gambia has become a lawless society at your mercy and with the help of some of your ignorant soldiers with no education driving in town like bunch of drunkards. Our dear country is in misery.

Africa Research Institute Launches New Publication Entitled “ Going Public.”
“The publication entitled “GOING PUBLIC: How Africa’s integration can work for the poor”, is by a team led by Dr Jeggan C. Senghor, a Gambian Senior Research Fellow at the University of London. The main contention of the publication is that regional integration schemes in Africa have mainly aimed at promoting economic growth and development in a broad sense but that more concerted effort must be directed at integration for the reduction of poverty among Africa’s teeming millions. Trade, investment and monetary cooperation, in particular, have attracted much attention but it is time for regional public goods to be accorded higher priority,” Writer Gambian born journalist Edmund Thomas.

Jammeh Killed Deyda Hydara!!!!
….Former Point Senior Staff Reporter Pays Tribute To A Fallen “ Gambian Hero” Deyda Hydara!!!
“Deyda and myself exchanged notes. We enjoyed brotherly and professional relationship. Hydara introduced me to well placed sources, who used to supply us with authentic documents about the Youth Development Enterprise saga and the Central Bank missing millions scandal. I remember the then IGP Landing 13 Badjie, challenging the Point to help him with his investigations if we are privy to any information about the Central Bank missing millions saga. Our stories led to the arrest of Lang Conteh, Baba Jobe and Central Bank staff.”Writes Editor Pa Nderry M’Bai

It was on December 16TH 2004, when Yahya Jammeh decided to end the life of Gambia’s most acclaimed journalist Deyda Hydara. Hydara was killed by Jammeh’s agents. His only perceived crime, was for having the audacity to speak against social injustices, impunity and lawlessness. In Jammeh’s own evil world, journalists like Hydara deserve to die prematurely. He went ahead to take the life of Deyda, leaving two female editorial staff of the Point brutally injured. Both Nyan Jobe and Ida Jagne, my good friend typist were flown to Dakar for emergency treatment. As a reporter, who specializes on penning lead stories for the Point, my editorial task was very demanding so to speak. In that, I have to get all the facts before close of business. Some of my sources occupied top positions in Government and would only speak to me after they closed from work.
