Touray escapes death!

The death toll in the car crash involving a Gambian cabinet minister Yankuba Touray has now risen to two, this paper can authoritatively reveal. The death of Lamin Saidy at the Gambia's main referral hospital in Banjul was announced yesterday when he succumbed to the fatal injuries he sustained in an accident in which a cabinet minister escaped unharmed.
Minister Yankuba Touray's convoy was involved in a fatal road crash that instantly claimed the live of a youth from the Serekunda suburb of Bakoteh.

The mother of  Gambia’s Speaker Fatou Jahumpa Ceesay passes away last night. The demise of the Speaker’s mother has been announced. FJC was said to be very close to the old woman. FJC  and  Foreign Minister Balla Jahumpa shared the same Mum and Dad. Currently,  a group of sympathizers converged at the Speaker’s Kanifing and Banjul family residences to pay their last respect  to the late old woman. Funeral arraignments are  currently underway. FJC’s  Mum was reported to be in bad condition of health prior to her demise. The Speaker is currently receiving  her colleagues and other top government officials who called to sympathise with the deceased's family.

Following his open opposition to a government planned move to impose water bill charges to the inhabitants of Brikama, Jobe Dumbuya is paying for the price, as he was picked up by officers of the National Intelligence Agency, the (NIA). Dumbuya who criticized President Yahya Jammeh for failing to live up to his early coup promises to end Brikama's water crisis is currently serving as a guest at the NIA torture chambers in Banjul, the Freedom Newspaper can authoritatively report.  Dubumbya's arrest followed a heated meeting in Brikama, where Area Council officials announced their decision to impose water bills in Brikama. The meeting which nearly ended in stalemate attracted the presence of town heads and local government officials. Mr.Dumbuya was picked up at his Brikama residence by NIA operatives and later whisked away to their offices for interrogation.
