Gambia:Editorial: Infighting At The Embassy: JT Kujabi, And Lamin Sanyang Exposed!!!
Thursday, November 12, 2009 (2010 reads)

Editorial: Infighting At The Embassy: JT Kujabi, And Lamin Sanyang Cannot See Each Other Eye To An Eye!!!

Gambians should consider organizing a demonstration-asking for the immediate recalling of Embassy officials at the Washington DC Mission. It is unfair for these “lazy” so called unproductive diplomats to be paid by our taxpayers, and yet they are not delivering any meaningful services to our nation.  Personal grudges, squabbles, and hatred is tearing The Gambian Embassy apart. How can embassy staff work,  when they are not in speaking terms. There is a growing animosity between Lamin Sabi Sanyang, and Ebrima JT Kujabi. The two are strange-bed fellows these days. They don’t look each other in the eye.  The  strained relationship between JT Jujabi, as he fondly called with Lamin Sanyang, has been attributed to Sabi’s close ties with Jammeh. JT is too obsessed with personal grudges. He cannot come to terms that the President preferred Lamin Sanyang to run his Pimp and money laundering schemes on his behalf.

Ground Zero

By Baba Galleh Jallow

Life had never been easy at Topchop Enterprises. The tradition, for those of our common townsfolk who worked there, was always to make do with available crumbs while the big shots at the top of the pyramid enjoyed their creamy fat. So it was no understatement to declare that one big turn deserved another.

Veterans Day Commemorations:  A Tribute to Freedom Fighting Fallen Heroes of our Planet

History has that our transformation as a human species evolved around conflicts and violence.  The wars fought from ancient civilization to those of World Wars I, II, to modern liberation wars fought at both national and international levels and are living testaments to that validity.  Those who fought in all such wars did so for the enduring modern Freedom enjoyed across all free and peace loving societies of our times. From the trenches of Burma to the Streets of Ankarich, Germany, from the desert storms of Kuwait to the Streets of Baghdad, Iraq, and from the World Trade Center to the mountainous caves of Afghanistan, the gallant men and women in uniform who lost their lives left a historic antidote in to the annals of global history.

Michael Scales on Jammeh Grounded Plane

Dear Mr. Editor,

The Freedom Newspaper has done remarkably well to highlight a potential major problem for not only The Presidents private Jet, but also Banjul International Airport. This with particular reference to the bird strike against the Jet on takeoff. It concludes that the bird strike was several or even a flock of birds, that the Jet struck upon take off. This is indicated by the strikes at the nose of the aircraft and at two of its three engines. The warning lights in the cockpit would have been expressing a compression surge indication a malfunction of one or more of the engines. The pilot immediately would have sent a message to Banjul control tower that an emergency situation was occurring seeking permission for clearance to land immediately.

Editorial: Was The Civil Aviation Bird Story Report Another Hoax Or What?

…Jammeh’s Plane Declared A Threat To Aviation Safety

If the Gambia Civil Aviation press release is to go by, it is suicidal for anyone to travel with President Yahya Jammeh’s plane. The GCA investigative report on the so called “bird” incident,  catalogued numerous aviation safety issues, which disqualifies the Presidential jet from being flown. The plane is a threat to aviation safety. It should be grounded, until such a time that it is fit to hit the airwaves.
