A local court presided over by Magistrate Moses Richard has sentenced Tamba on corruption and arm possession charges. Tamba was one of those APRC bigwigs running President Jammeh's errands. It's alleged in some quarters that Aziz Tamba was among the State House junglers who kill perceived political opponents. Today, Tamba is a guest at the "Hell Fire" Mile Two, to borrow the expression used by Sana Bairo Sabally. Tamba's jailing should serve as an eye opener to other junglers serving President Jammeh at this hour. Congratulations to our colleagues at the Gambia Journal for their one year anniversary. The Journal is now one year old. We salute the paper's dynamic editors and reporters for the brilliant job they have been doing to bring up-to-date, reliable, accurate and balanced information to its readers. We urge the Journal staffers to keep up the good job. We at the Freedom Newspaper valued their tremendous efforts to "contribute to the nation's fragile democratization process, by using the might of the pen to expose a brutal dictatorship, which is hell bent on oppressing the rights and liberties of our people.
