The name of Gambia’s President Yahya Jammeh had featured prominently in this damning revelations. The ring leader in this car theft case Alhaji Saja Manneh, a relative of the late Guinea Bissau Army Chief Ansumana Manneh had given one of the suspected stolen Lemozine to President Jammeh. The said car was among the list of suspected stolen vehicles brought into the country by Manneh and his accomplices.

Dakar, Senegal: Alhaji Saja Manneh is wanted by the Senegalese, Canadian and American Federal Bureau Of Investigations (FBI) for four reasons among, which includes attempted Kidnapping on Senegalese soil in the name of The Gambia Government assisted by the Customs attaché at the Gambia Embassy in Senegal,(call John Oogoh) working under the full instructions of the Director general Of Customs Kaba Tambajang who Saja bribed US 25,000 dollars to help him mask this embarrassing International car theft case, the Freedom Newspaper can authoritatively report. Without the knowledge of the Senegalese authorities or even the Ambassador of the Gambia in Senegal, at the kidnapping scene, Alhaji Saja Manneh and his group of five gangsters assisted by Tambajang’s man at the Gambian Embassy in Senegal, tendered an arrest warrant to Dr Allamin saying that he Alhaji Saja Manneh has been mandated by the Gambian authorities to come with his men and arrest him back home by ease or by force. Among his men was one so called John Ogooh who also acknowledged the claims of Alhaji Saja Manneh by identifying him self as being an envoy of the Gambian Ambassador in Senegal who he Oogoh said, had asked him Oogoh to help Saja execute Dr Allamins immediate arrest and repatriation.

Sam Sarr, Ethnic Nationalism, and the Quest for a Gambian Nation Part II

I’m just a little tied up these days, and I had hoped to finish off the Conclusion of my take on Sam Sarr and his scandalous Ethnic Paint Job on the Mandinka last weekend. But having re-read Sam’s various posts, I’ve decided to change tack a bit. That is because of Sam’s knack for deliberately misquoting me, and in some instances actually substituting what I wrote for his own – something I might add, that is evidently consistent with his unscrupulous personality. The only reason I wrote in detail in my first response was to provide context for my arguments against Sam’s preposterous allegations against an ethnicity-obsessed people in The Gambia call Mandinka. Any fair-minded person who reads what I wrote will see that every Counter-Argument I made against what Sam wrote is premised on a stated context (mostly Sam Sarr’s claims.) In other words, I cite Sam’s allegation, or claim, and then proceed to lay out my argument(s) to demonstrate why he is off kilter. Yet in his two replies since, Sam Sarr has consistently misquoted me, or inserted his own words into what he claims I wrote, all while leaving out the contexts I’d advanced to buttress those particular counter-claims. At first I thought this was inadvertent, until I noticed the frequency with which he has done so. Given that fact, I believe it is simply outside the realm of coincidence that Sam committed these oversights through genuine error.

Lang Tombong Tamba used to cry and tell the school watchmen to talk to Mr. Hakim the then Principal at the time to tell him to just push him to complete his high school, because he wants to joint the Army which requires no much knowledge. The President can only be impeached if a certified medical doctor declares him insane or unfit to run the Presidency. The Speaker would then okay a bill to impeach the President. A three third majority is needed to give a blessing to such a bill.

Unimpeachable sources close to the State House in Banjul say The Gambian leader Yahya Jammeh is suspected to be suffering from “infirmity of mind and as such had been acting strangely during private and public functions.” The Presidential aide says the President developed his mental illness shortly after the March 2006 coup attempt, which almost devastated Africa’s most brutal dictator. “ HE Jammeh has been talking to himself. We are all worried that he might as well one day walk out naked in the streets of Kanilai. Everyone here is worried. Many Service Chiefs are aware of his mental problem. His wife is aware. His Mother is also aware of HE’S mental problem. His madness directs him to women and animals. He has been touching barren women, thus violating their privacy. I accompanied the president each time, he attends to his patients. This is normal. HE is sick and needs urgent help.” said the Presidential aide.

Everything is not alright at The Gambian Mission in Taiwan, as the Ambassador Mawdor Juwara is at the centre of a corruption scandal, as another Gambian student in Taipei emailed the Freedom Newspaper complaining about the Ambassador’s shady deals among other things. The student who begged for anonymity accuses the Ambassador of using funds given to them by President Jammeh to run his private errands. “ As I emailed you, he is refusing to hand over the $5000 dollars given to us by the President. This is not the first time that the Ambassador is sitting on our funds. The Taiwanese Government had in the past also extended help to us, but we haven’t seen anything to that effect. The Ambassador should desist from using our names as a passport to fulfill his desire to become rich. We are appealing to the President to please come to our aid. We are being unjustly exploited by the Ambassador and his inner circles. This is a clear case of economic exploitation.” said the student.

Roots Home Coming Festival Delegates And Other Travelers Complain About The Non Operational Of The Gambian DC Website!!

Ever since the removal of The Gambian Ambassador to Washington Dodou Bammy Jagne, life has changed for the worst at The Gambian Mission in DC. Not only faced by leadership deficiency, the Embassy’s main website with the domain name http://www.gambiaembassy.us
has been shut down for unexplained reasons. Travelers who used the said website for visa application, Passport processing, and other travel needs were left devastated by the sudden absence of the Gambian Mission’s website on the worldwide web. The Mission’s website has been shutdown for a while now. Embassy officials never bothered to explain to their clients, including The Gambian Community overseas as to what might be responsible for the grounding of the said website. The non operational of http://www.gambiaembassy.us would no doubt deprive the Embassy several thousands of dollars, as many visa applicants and other travelers used the said site to process their visa applications. Most of these travelers are naturalized Gambian US Citizens, US born Citizens and other foreign Nationals.
