THE COUP NEVER SURPRISES ME-AN OPINION PIECE FROM DALTON
Thursday, March 23, 2006 (460 reads)

                   BY YERO JALLOW (DALTON)

Bubacar and Nderry,

The Ongoing Crisis: Interrupted struggle.

"True peace is not merely the absence of tension, it is the presence of justice.”, Dr. MLK jnr.

The frustrated army officials, like the general citizenry are pushed beyond elasticity limits. While my heart bleeds another instance, out of the many witnessed incidents for the last 11 years, the coup doesn't come to me as a surprise or nightmare-not at all. In all my speeches around, I made this very clear.

PANORAMA with 'Bulfaaleh' Banjul Coup plot number TEN...Accusations via nepotism?
Thursday, March 23, 2006 (457 reads)

President Jammeh foils another coup...this one is No.TEN.

Some times I do imagine Jammeh as the wrester he was in all honesty.I feel like yelling from a crowd like a supporter by saying.."Jammeh!".This may not be meant to cheer him..instead it will be to jeer him. At anytime this man exhausts all options he resorts to accusing people of wanting to over throw him! Before 2006 Gambians more so the oppositioon have to be ready for these foiled coups and other hidden assaults from the state house. Jumping from the opposition then to the army? Was it not this army President branded as the best in Africa? Best in what? Killing or siezing power?

CHARLES TAYLOR EXTRADITION REQUEST IS A MOVE FOR HUMANITY
Wednesday, March 22, 2006 (281 reads)

            By Binneh s Minteh

The extradition request of former Liberian war monger by Africa's iron lady Liberian President Sirleaf Johnson is a move that should be embraced by the whole of Humanity. Liberia the first independent state on the continent was founded by Freed Slaves and since then the country enjoyed a stable and viable economy until the early 1980s, when the green boys intervened in the political affairs of the country.

BY PA NDERRY M’BAI AND OUS CHAM
G
ambia’s President Yahya Jammeh, claimed to have survived yet another coup attempt, after the alleged perpetrators were rounded up last evening by loyal forces, well placed sources in the heart of the Jammeh administration told the Freedom Newspaper. The President who was on a visit to Mauritania, cut his visit short following intelligence reports he received that his government risked being toppled if he failed to return home as soon as possible, as some men of the army were posed to take over the country. The Freedom Newspaper, gathered that some senior and junior officers of the army had been arrested and are currently detained at the country’s main prison the Mile Two Central Prisons.

TEETH BITE:HOLD YOUR HORSE DARBOE SUPPORTERS-LEAVE THE MAN ALONE!!!

TEETH BITE: HOLD YOUR HORSE DARBOE SUPPORTERS-LEAVE DARBOE ALONE

UDP militants and self styled supporters, including their party leader should consider the generous political invitation extended to Ousainou Numukunda Darboe to lead NADD by Lamin Waa Juwara alias Mbarodi. Waa’s message was harsh, but in reality this was the best way to tame this Dubo son. He should be given the benefit of the doubt to lead the disintegrated coalition. Darboe, should not listen to some misguided Gambians, whose patriotism is questionable. They are flip flopping day in day out with the sole aim of misleading the widely respectable legal luminary.

THEY ARE FLEEING NADD: ARE WE SURPRISE???

Demba Baldeh: Seattle, Washington

The news that PPP big wigs and political opportunist are fleeing the NADD camp should not come as a surprise to any politically informed Gambian.  I wrote a few weeks ago on Allgambian that once the insincere and so called politicians recognized the road NADD is leading to, they will start packing their baggage.
