MENTAL PROFILE OF THE GAMBIA'S MOST PARANOID TRIPLETS

It should be clearly apparent by now that the ongoing scuffle between me and The Gambia's most paranoid triplets, Mathew K. Jallow, Ebrima G. Sankareh and their dithering little brother Yankuba M. Jambang is a pitiful mismatch. Attacked with the truth from all sides like they've never experienced before, they have stained their standing as less than average journalists by getting down and dirty in the mud with an individual exercising the inalienable right of expression however unpleasant it may be. Unable to muzzle and harass me as they attempted with their fellow journalists and rightful critics, they have decided to pool their meager resources together in a pyrrhic bid to save face. The problem these bedwetting triplets have is that of an immense lack of credibility in the eyes of the audience witnessing their descent into dangerous depths of madness. Up close and personal, the finger-sucking triplets like to exude a semblance of control and affability but underneath the deception lurks a monstrous perversity illustrated by innumerable deviant behavior that would make Beelzebub himself envious.The question needs to be asked: why do these stunted beings keep gnashing their teeth and crying wolf after failing in their ill-conceived plot to spread their slimy tentacles all over the GPU executive?  The time spent in futile rants and raves against a private citizen could have been utilized on real journalistic work on issues of development, corruption, the rule of law and education.

Dear Watchman, 

I too have a lot to say in response to your rambling tirade of contemptible gibber, but I will defer to my brother Sankareh; for I could not have said it any better than he did. But, having just read your pusillanimous piece in the Freedom, I decided not to carve in to the temptation to respond you any more than Sankareh has so effectively done. But, I take issue with your tactless braggadocio, followed this week by a pretentious posturing that exposes your futile effort at retracting from your deep held bias towards Sankareh and me. In suiting yourself in your knight’s amour and marching ever so gallantly to save a victim whose reality resides only in your myopic inability to discern fact from fiction, you made a caricature of yourself; a buffoon trying to salvage the bit of credibility left hanging over a cloak of deception. As an arbiter of truth and objectivity, the venom you spewed about us, and the intensity of your hatred, so very apparent in your diatribe, have earned you a well-deserved accolade as the brewer of discord, rather than a denizen of truth. You sir, as NBC’s anchor Keith Olberman would say, are guilty of a capricious application of selective justice.

ATTACK OF THE DISCREDITED MEDIA TRIUMVIRATE

I just got off the phone with a contact at a major media outlet in Europe this morning. We were discussing the range of criticisms that flow into their offices and the response was breathtaking in its scope. They entertain everything from the mild to intense, from regular sources to occasional and voluntarily anonymous individuals. Coincidentally, I was multitasking, browsing the web, and stumbled into an episode of spectacular psychobabble by disgruntled twins intent on preserving their place in their imagined pantheon of Gambian media gods. After faxing the screed to the impartial journalist at this establishment for independent analysis, I got a phone call back and the verdict was not a surprise: the retort from the sensitive twins was without detached professionalism and mostly addressed hurt feelings and an attempt to salvage journalistic bona fides. I also forwarded another outburst from their little brother presiding over another medium and the answer: ditto. This discredited triumvirate of bumbling scribes is clearly jittery.
