Gambia’s Ambassador to the United States of America Dodou Bammy Jagne, has been billed to attend the Raleigh, NC annual Muslim gathering known as “Gamu”, the Freedom Newspaper can authoritatively reveal. The Ambassador who is representing a murderous government in the United States has been busy trying to gather political  support base for the Ruling APRC,  which is increasingly becoming unpopular in the Western world. Gambians both at home and abroad are displeased with the current dictatorship. As a result of the growing nationwide discontent, Jammeh and his officials are finding it hard to visit certain Western countries. Popular showdown actions usually disrupts their visits. Jagne’s pending Raleigh visit might be disrupted by demonstrators who are poised to take the disgraced Ambassador to task on the atrocities committed by the Jammeh government.

Monday, July 16, 2007 (1090 reads)

By Sedia Trera West Palm Beach, FL USA

My recent visit to The Gambia has compelled me to write this letter to the attention of all Gambians, particularly those living abroad. Like many Gambians in the US, I have been away from The Gambia for awhile and not privy to the developments in the country. Until my recent visit my main source of information was from the Gambian websites mainly run outside the country.

Breaking News:Yankuba Darboe Exposed!!!UK Home Office take note of an asylum faker!!
Sunday, July 15, 2007 (1457 reads)

Today, we shall expose how vindictive some Gambians can be. Gambians would be shocked to learn that our new enemy in the person of Yankuba Darboe, alias "Yanks" currently residing in the United Kingdom, was at some point trying to solicit favors from us here at Freedom. Darboe who was hardly known as a “serious journalist” in the Gambia, wanted us to lie in an affidavit that he was a staffer of the Freedom Newspaper. His intentions were to deceive the UK Immigration to secure his much anticipated asylum dream. Darboe had criminal tendencies in him, which we would  expose, as we go in this master piece revelations.

The Freedom Newspaper is not alone in its support for Harriet Harman, the Deputy Leader of the Labour Party as a result of her acknowledgment, respect and appreciation of hard-working and law abiding Africans, Caribbean’s and other black people in the country. Her positive stand in favour of everyone in her constituency regardless of gender or status is an open secret. As a matter of fact, over the years she has earned enormous and unreserved admiration by such groups of people.

Friday, July 13, 2007 (1092 reads)

By Bourama Jammeh

I have problem both with the nomenclature and classification Diaspora Gambians. This word seems to be particularly referring to Jews outside Palestine after the fall of Babylon. It also may simply mean people outside of their homes but connotes some flight and/or running away from harms way.

By Michael Scales UK

Dear Mr Editor,
It is with deep shock sadness that i acknowledge the poor defeat of the Gambias under 20s at the hands of gallant Austria.I would ask calm to be the order of the day amongst all faithful and disapointed supporters. We shall regroup and restore the balance in the near future.
I have.... as a respect to my close and respected friend Samba Faal, kept out of the internal sporting affairs of the nation.Even though my heart was broken at the news that he had been unbelievably, ejected from his office as the Mentor of Youth, Sports and Religious affairs. His loyalty to myself and the children of The Gambia, over many long years has been a credit and a blessing to the nation.
