Latest information coming from the State House in Banjul says President Yahya Jammeh ordered for the possible extermination of the Point Newspaper Editor Momodou Justice Darboe. The President who relied on an intelligence report, which linked the Point Editor with the Freedom Newspaper, was reported to have asked his jungullars to kill the Point Reporter. Mr. Jammeh has been displeased with the recent Freedom Newspaper news stories and editorials to a point that he ordered for an enquiry to trace and kill a Point Newspaper reporter, who was accused of passing information to the US based online paper.

Sometime ago during an interview I conducted with editor Pa Nderry Mbai I was "tickled" to expose the readiness to form a political party. This idea is still alive and being diagnosed at length within and without my immediate circle of activities.So far so good. Like any other aspect in life this saying means something for developers. That is "Every journey starts with a step". Indeed every journey has its own challenges and hurdles as well. That being the case determination wins a battle.

Last Friday, over 50,000 people from all parts of the globe gathered in London's Hyde Park to celebrate the 90th birthday of Nelson Mandela, one of the world's greatest leader.A record 80 million people are reported to have watched the concert on their television sets. Like these people who were unable to attend the concert, I stayed awake all night with my one-year old son, Jamil, to watch the concert on TV. And being a crazy fan of Mandela, I couldn't hold my tongue. I kept lecturing my son about Mandela's stance against totalitarianism, oppression, fight against HIV/Aids, hunger and most importantly, his fight against apartheid in South Africa even though the poor lad couldn't understand a thing of what I was saying.

JAMMEH GOV’T LINKED TO ASSASSINATION ATTEMPT!!

Momodou Justice Darboe , an Editor with the Point Newspaper, narrowly escaped death Tuesday night, following an attempt on his life by an armed man believed to be an agent of The Gambian Government. The attacker who mounted a close surveillance on Justice Darboe, pursued him immediately he closes from work Tuesday night between the hours of 10pm to 11pm. The attacker who boarded the same car with Justice Darboe, at the Point junction in Bakau, placed a knife on the throat of Justice Darboe as soon as he disembarked from the taxi car at Wellingara. The attacker then attempted to slaughter the Point Editor Momodou, who was one time accused by Speaker Fatou Jahumpa Ceesay of being a Correspondent for the Freedom Newspaper. The Speaker on numerous occasions accuses Darboe and Editor Alhagie Mbye of being Correspondents for the Freedom Newspaper.

Jarju mans Military Intelligence Unit- amidst Security threats!

The former Director General of the NIA-National intelligence Agency has been moved back to his former position as head of the GAF-Gambia Armed Forces Intelligence Unit. Jarju was pulled from there to come and head the NIA after the so-called March coup d'etat of 2006.
This is the same position Jarju held before the above mentioned date and month therefore he is back.

The Point Newspaper has once again manifested its poor journalistic standards, by woefully failing to address the key issues raised in our recent editorials about Pap Saine’s gross journalistic misconduct. Instead of engaging us into intellectual debate, the paper’s disgraced and shameless co proprietor Pap Saine resorted to personal attacks, which would not help to save his already battered credibility.

All I write is the truth,the whole and nothing but the truth. Today once again I will give The Gambian president information that will make him realize how deep these secrets I receive are. Before traveling to Guinea Bissau with Salif Sadio President Jammeh had him lodged in Kanilai for months. Currently Sadio is lodged at a two storey building opposite the Presidential palace in Kanilai. This is the place where the late Major Musa Jammeh of the state guard used to reside before he died some months back in a mysterious way. President Jammeh during his trip to Guinea Bissau decided to travel there with Salif Sadio.

i just read on the point editorial today,koto pap saine attacking you and the freedom newspaper, Anyway pap is free to attack you, but can he please explain to Gambians what happened , because i think the issue is very important, and a minister has lost his job because of him Pap Saine.Please Pap explain in details, whether you call the minister to report Mr. Manneh or not.
How did the minister got the information ,when you dont allow the information to be published.
