Freedom Newspaper Profiles NADD'S Halifa Sallah
By Pa Nderry M'Bai
Halifa
Sallah is one of Gambia's finest, humblest and charismatic politician.
A great orator and also prolific writer for that matter. A University
professor, Sallah is described in many quarters as a man of wisdom and
father figure in the West African country. Thanks to Halifa Sallah,
Amie Sillah and Uncle Sam Sarr the likes of President Yahya Jammeh
and others were saved from being destitutes and social mess in our
communities. Sallah, Sillah and Sarr contributed immensely in shaping
the lives of outcast kids and underprivileged families, who at one
point or the other nearly misses their way in life. These kids comes
to school hungry and can hardly afford to pay for their school fees.
Some were drug addicts and violent youth men in our streets. Thanks to
the counseling they received from Sallah, they turned out to be
productive members of society. Halifa and Uncle Sam used their own
money to support these neglected kids, who are today found in various
sectors of society. Some of these people who benefited from Sallah's
and Sarr humanitarian gesture could be found in government, the media
and civil society. President Jammeh happens to be one of those people.
Sallah says he is confident of winning!

do not seek change for the sake of change; we do not seek power for its
sake; personality or personal interest is not the issue. The issue of
interest for NADD is Gambia and her people. What is paramount is the
national interest. Our duty is to change a system of governance that is
increasingly centralizing the power in the hands of the executive and
replace it with a system that will not allow patronage, sectionalism or
self perpetuating rule to stifle the authority of the people and bar
them from changing their manner of government whenever they deem it
prudent to do so.NADD stands for a future that will place your
country right into your sovereign hands. NADD aims to utilize the
public power derived from your authority to safeguard people’s liberty,

Lamin Waa Juwara Survives Assassination Plot,Torture And Abductions!!
Did Jammeh Detain Waa To Block Him From Becoming A President?
Waa's Past Charges that Darboe Use Party Funds To Clear His Income Tax Debts Revisited......
Freedom Newspaper Profiles Gambia's Firebrand Politician Waa Juwara Ahead Of The Polls!!
By Pa Nderry M'Bai
Lamin
Waa Juwara is Gambia's most fearless and outspoken politician. Juwara
over the years had earned himself with the reputation of being
controversial. Hardly a year passes without the Niamina Dankunku lion
alias "Mbarodi" being jailed. Juwara suffered abduction, torture and in
some instances failed assassination plots spearheaded by the state. He
is one of those Gambian men who had the daring mind to speak out
against Jammeh and his dictatorship. The country's main jail house,
Mile Two has been his second home. Each time Juwara is locked up, he
becomes wilder. He said things worse than the crime he was charged
with. He knows almost all the cells at the Mile Two and its staffers.
Juwara believes that Freedom is not a gift to be bargain with. He has
repeatedly said he is ready to die in the cause of liberating oppressed
Gambians. Many of his critics hate him because of what they called
"Waa's violent and confrontational" politics. But the politician
insists that he is not violent at all. He argues that those who hated him were
anti freedom, justice and good governance.
Juwara was nearly tortured to death by Jammeh's thugs-He displays torture signs in this piece.

"There are arbitrary arrests being carried out by the Senegalese
forces. They accuse youths of taking part in the rebellion," said one
refugee, asking not to be named. By Alberto Dabo BISSAU, Sept 8
(Reuters) - Guinea-Bissau
intercepted a cargo of machineguns, mortars, rocket launchers and
explosives bound for rebels in southern Senegal on Friday, a senior
military official in the West African country said. The security
forces arrested three men after stopping a fishing boat near the port
capital Bissau carrying the arms, which were shown to journalists and
also included grenades, anti-tank mines, dynamite, mortar shells and
ammunition. "We fired warning shots to stop the pirogue (wooden
fishing boat) that was carrying them," Lieutenant-Colonel Lassana
Massaly of Guinea-Bissau's army told a news conference. One of
the three men arrested, believed to be rebels from Senegal's southern
Casamance region which borders Guinea-Bissau, said they were
transporting the arms to the border town of Varela, the scene of heavy
fighting earlier this year.

Dictatorship enhances hate by any means necessary!! Friday, September 08, 2006 (272 reads)
By Staff Writer There
is an old African brain who said,"...No one can cover glowing charcoal
with wool.." This is indeed wisdom being pasted on our minds with wise
words. Wisdom is so dear to our minds during this era, when callous and
armed bandits have deliberately hijacked a dear
national responsibility. Lest we forget this strong verse that came
from the era of prophets..." It is only the wise who know God..." He or
she who uses wisdom shall always beat the fuming hearts of hatred.
Dictatorship enhances hate by any means necessary. There isn't much
difference between a dictator and a serial killer. Serial killers
choose to kill with style or 'fashion' because they want to be in
control of their unfortunate preys.

Could You Be Sold....Banjul Circus.
Spinning,Sinning,Skimming,Swinging but still Leaning.
This,There,That,Then What?
Too Hot! Too Cold! Olof Njie says no one can catch it....
Skimming that foam from these wild waves cannot stop the sea from roaring.
Sinning is the base but killing is a heavier pole.
Swinging a sledge hammer? And you are a soul mate?
After all you are still leaning on these tellers!
How many cowry shells have been thrown on that mat,so
far?
Tell tales and then sell the same tales.
Your tales are like a strong gale, blowing the feathers at the back of a loud fowl.
Can't that expose the worse part?
This isn't April fool anymore!

President Chen Shuia Bian of Taiwan admits corruption...Called "Rascal" by Critics. Thursday, September 07, 2006 (583 reads)
By Our Political Analyst... When
English language used as a medium of communication it becomes an
active conductor that changes patterns and meanings. Sometimes context
matters when this medium of communication is used for different
reasons. It is obviously the reason why this paper avails itself of
this opportunity as and when the need arises. Today the need has arisen
again. This need reminds us of an old famous dictum that goes. " Show
me your friend,I will then tell you who you are!" Isn't President
Yahya A J J Jammeh of The Gambia calling President Chen of Taiwan a
true friend every day? Yes he does. On the daily observer today another
donation was received from the famous Dr Wang. Chen's envoy to Jammeh
the universal beggar. As these allegations against Chen continue
growing while terms like "Secret Diplomatic Funds"
are flying around Taipei these days,we will see whether all accusations
against Yahya Jammeh are true or false. We are refering to accusations
that are trailing this Check-Book Presidency Internationally.
