Ever since the gruesome murder of the Banjul based Point Newspaper Editor, and AFP Correspondent Deyda Hydara, accusing fingers have been directed at the administration of President Yahya Jammeh.  In what appears to be a new revelation over the journalist’s slaying, the killer has been named.  If the email received by the Freedom Newspaper editorial board is to go by, Colonel Alhagie Martin, a special bodyguard to President Jammeh was alleged to have murdered Hydara.  Martin,  AKA Lagos,  has also been linked to the failed assassination attempt on the life of exiled Gambian lawyer Ousman Sillah. Our source explained how Martin killed Hydara, under the directives of President Jammeh, who in the recent past repeatedly denied having hands in the said murder case. I want to thank you and Freedom newspaper for the great job you are doing for our country. That said, I have a very important revelation I wish to share with the Gambian public about the murder of journalist Deyda Hydara. Deyda Hydara was killed by none other than Colonel Alhagie Martin, acting under the orders of Yaya Jammeh. On the day of Deyda's killing, Martin used his taxi Benz 200 which was driven by his army driver. They followed Deyda from Kanifing South to the Point offices and waited for him to go home. While Deyda was driving home, Martin's driver overtook Deyda and Martin shot him dead and they drove away. Martin was promoted to Colonel as part of his reward for killing Deyda.

It appears there is competition for the seat of power in Banjul. This past week, President Yahya Jammeh slaughtered a BLACK bull at the airport. The meat was cooked and shared amongst airport workers, passengers, and visitors. State guard soldiers coordinated the sacrificial ritual. While at the airport, this editor was compelled to eat with the crowd. He was offered free meat. He was told that the gift was from President Jammeh. That, he Jammeh wants to preserve his Presidency by making such ritual sacrifices.

The embattled former speaker of the  Gambia national Assembly Fatoumata  Jahumpha Ceesay last Sunday hired a taxi to the Bijilo Beach where she offered some spiritual sacrifice to the waters, in order to regain her post as the speaker of the National Assembly, the Freedom Newspaper can reveal. FJC,  as she is fondly called also travelled to Niumi in North Bank region, where she consulted a Marabout to help her overturn Jammeh’s decision to regain her position as speaker of the county`s law making body.

State Guard Commander Appears In Court On Theft Charges!!!

Gibril Bojang, the ex State guard commander, who was earlier demoted to a private soldier and then sacked by Yaya Jammeh,  was yesterday arraigned before a magistrates court in Banjul for theft, the Freedom Newspaper can reveal.  Bojang didn’t testify in public, but in closed doors and he was asked by the presiding magistrate whether he has a lawyer or he intends to represent himself and his response was that he intends to hire the services of an attorney.

The case was adjourned to a further date for continuation. Gibril Bojang was the state guard commander , who only spent  eight days in that post and subsequently sacked. He is also said to be maternal uncle to the President Jammeh, sharing the same father with Assomby Bojang, the president's mother.

You grand panjandrum. You call yourselves our saviors, yet seek to butcher our souls. You plant your malice-soled boots on our throats, yet claim to give us voices. You seek to cut our tongues with machetes of greed yet proclaim that you are teaching us the speech of freedom. You slouch in the dark and stab us from behind but claim that you are watching our backs. Now listen to what we have to say. You grand panjandrum, masters of deceit and pretension. Your white robes cannot hide the dark, baked scales of the devil’s hide that bites your flesh. You cannot hide the hot streams of dark blood rushing beneath the white enamel of your teeth. We see the green malice flowing in the veins of your heart. We know that in the dark of night you become your true selves and melt into the darkness of the night. And you go about setting fire to our stores of knowledge and cutting short the lives of the innocent. You profess to be carriers of truth and wisdom, yet your minds are bursting with the slime of ignorance. The light of wisdom burns your souls and you would have us live in the perpetual night of ignorance, for therein lies your salvation.
