As Ambassador Mboge is accused of falsifying his CV- Kawsu Manjang reacts!!
Monday, December 17, 2007 (671 reads)

By Kawsu Manjang.

Pa Mbai,

It was never surprising to learn that Kotor Alieu has falsified his curriculum vitae. The man has a chequered history of DABARO and TAPALE whilst working as a public servant. Lest we forget that owing to Alieu's poor management skills, the National Trading Corporation(NTC) was privatised. The National Trading Corporation was one Gambia's Crown Jewels, it was primarily responsible for selling so many products at affordable prices and it had branches throughout the country. However, it appears Kotor Alieu did all he could to bankrupt this trading corporation. It must be noted that following the collapse of Maurel & Prom, NTC gain control of the market force and did serve the community well. Unfortunately for Gambia, the corporation's performance depreciated once Kotor Alieu took the reins of office.

Monday, December 17, 2007 (909 reads)

By A Gambian University Student, Banjul

Dear editor

I am a forth year student of the University of the Gambia and happens to be in the outgoing Student Union executive council. I am here to vent our anger in your wildly read Online News paper against SOS Neneh Machdoll Gaye who is not but a dirty and retarded, liar and self-centered selfish person. You couldn’t believe the anger and bloodthirsty we the students of the University are having against this woman who used us to publicly denouncing GamSu which makes the president to build confidence in her thinking that she is so close to students and can mobilize us to support the APRC any time needed. Neneh Mcdoll betrays the trust and confidence we have on her, used us and dumb us in the garbage thinking that we’re nothing but bunches of fools. I will tell you what happened between us and this dirty politician that we will hate for the rest of our time at the University.

Editorial: Yahya Jammeh Murdered Deyda Hydara!!

Bringing Jammeh and his partners in crime is a most.

It’s exactly three years today, when veteran Gambian journalist Deyda Hydara was murdered by the Government of President Jammeh. Sunday December 16Th, is a bad day for The Gambia’s calendar. A sad day for The Gambian Private media. This was the day when President Jammeh hides under the cover of dark and used his favorite killers to take the life of Gambia’s most outspoken and principled journalist Deyda Hydara. While Hydara’s family, loved ones and colleagues are mourning the late journalist, Jammeh and his co accused in crime are reflecting on how they managed to accomplish such a mission. It’ was a mission accomplished, but in reality the legacy of Hydara is still fresh in the minds of Gambians. Gambia’s fallen hero was a victim of state sponsored murder.

WHO MURDERED DEYDA HYDRA: TRIBUTE TO A GAMBIAN ICON.

BY BINNEH S MINTEH

Rtd Lieutennant.

The scholar Mark Oseil argued that "revisiting atrocities always help a nation consolidate memories and engage in secular rituals of commemoration even to a point of rendering the distinction of truth and fasity - distinction." He further emphasized that such lenghts are "justified in order to create a meaningful framework for publicly exploring traumatic memories of public violence." Oseil suggested that a collective memory can probably be only enshirined through investigations and trials if intentions of achieving such an end is concealed from public audience. The murder of Deyda Hydara three years ago in the Gambia is one such atrocity that is intentionally concealed from public audience. The questions: Who murdered Journalist Deyda Hydara three years ago in the Gambia? Why is the Gambia government not taking any serious investigations in to such a heinous crime? still remain unanswered and troubling.
