The recent statement made by Gambia’s fire brand politician Lamin Waa Juwara that the UDP/NRP breakaway from NADD will further give opportunity to dictator Jammeh to sink The Gambia, should not be taken lightly. Waa Juwara knows what he is talking about. He admitted openly that without a unified opposition the quest to remove Jammeh through the democratic means should be forgotten.

There is an  internal rift within the US based Movement for Restoration of Democracy in The Gambia, as conflict of interest hits the Organization, following the UDP/NRP break away from NADD, the Freedom Newspaper can reveal. There is a looming controversy on the organization’s budget that was raised to support NADD, but some group members say the funds were not meant for any single opposition party in the tiny West African country.
