PA SALLAH SHUP UP IF YOU HAVE NOTHING TO SAY Monday, April 17, 2006 (548 reads)
BY YANKUBA JAMBANG
I would like to inform Mr. pa Sillah Darboe that informing people of their rights, revealing truth and uncovering treachery and tyranny is nothing but serving the Almighty Allah. I want to make this clear to Pa Sallah and his likes that: I, Yankuba Jambang has no personal grievance against Yahya Jammeh or anyone for that matter. None of my parents or family members ever worked for the former PPP government or have been executed by Jammeh's government. But one thing is clear to all and sundry, that Jammeh's government has inflicted and untold sufferings on Gambians since he came to power some 12 years ago.

PANORAMA with 'Bulfaaleh'- Daba Marenah was used to do the dirty job that killed him! Monday, April 17, 2006 (929 reads)
How Edward Singhatey was removed from Cape Point?
President Jammeh used Daba Marenah to extend a notice of removal from the Cape Point palace. Daba was asked to call Edward and then let him know that he has been given 3 months to get out of the Cape Point State house extension. This is where he has been living from 1994. Daba according to sources found it too hard to extend the message. He hesitated exactly as he hesitated to go and arrest Musa Jammeh. However,Daba for some reason had to do his job at all cost. He was obliged to do something because Jammeh warned him to tell Edu to leave.

EDU WAS KICKED OUT

COUNTDOWN TO THE MELTDOWN!
“Those who have been once intoxicated with power, and have derived [ill-gotten wealth] from it, even though but for one year, can never willingly abandon it. Edmund Burke. For those who are still doubtful of the acquired political maturity of the Gambian masses as a consequence of 11 repressive years, should take heed to the informed public opinion on the recent staged coup d’etat and lay all doubts to rest.

PANORAMA with 'Bulfaaleh' Who will last with President Jammeh? A long list of friends. Sunday, April 16, 2006 (573 reads)
Who will last with President Jammeh?
President Jammeh has scored the guiness world record as far as side lining friends, associates and loyalists is concerned. No one can exhaust the list of this man's friends from 1994 to now. He always accuses them of betraying his course, wanting to over throw etc.Today I met someone who diagnosed Jammeh's person to me in the most appropriate way. I was stunned when this man started naming names of President Jammeh's old friends. From the lowest on the ladder(professionally) to the highest.

What Gets Jammeh Going for 11 years? Sunday, April 16, 2006 (455 reads)
What Gets Jammeh Going for 11 years?
How to Stop Him.
Political scientists and civil society advocates have spent long enough time in search of answers about what keeps Jammeh going in a period most Gambians grow profound hatred for a man who forced his way to become president of our dear country. Politicians have taken things for granted by engaging Jammeh on a platform unknown to them. They have also failed to recognise the environment that permits Jammeh to prevail over a nation where about half the population hate him rule them.

On Jibson Dukureh's Enquiry-EBRIMA G SANKAREH SET THE RECORDS STRAIGHT!!! Sunday, April 16, 2006 (587 reads)
On Jibson Dukureh's Enquiry
BY Ebrima G. Sankareh.
Those who are familiar with journalism know what date line is. When I received the tip from my most credible source at State House, it was too late for a full journalistic report. I therefore, for the interest of the Jibson Dukurehs of this world, thought it fitting to flag the news breaker thus: "My State House source says S. M. Dibba has been expelled from the House and Majanko Samusa nominated as MP for Badibou Central" end of quote. Since among other things good journalism incorporates hot news, Mr. Mbai used my '"flag" as a killer the following morning.

DISGRACED DIBBA

Be professionals-Opinion piece from Christ George Sunday, April 16, 2006 (252 reads)
BY JOHN JOOF
Hi George,
Brother I cannot help noticing your virtual aggression on the editorial policy of the popularly read freedom newspaper. I think you should go back to the lessons you received on journalism and I bet you will rediscover/know that every news outlet has their own editorial policy. Some can be neutral, others can decide to slant their editorial stance doing which does not reduce any journalist salt in as much as he/she is accurate.

Minnesota folks to raise funds for NADD-Another dollar rain!!! Sunday, April 16, 2006 (268 reads)
BY Christine Sukuna
I am hoping to spread the word regarding STGDP of MN's second fundraising event scheduled for April 22nd @ 4:00 pm at the Hampton Inn Hotel in Minnetonka, MN. The evening is called the Bantaba and it is designed to give community members the opportunity to come together and learn more about Save the Gambia Democracy Project, gather information regarding our upcoming fundraising initiatives and just discuss, vent, and air out all thoughts and feelings regarding the past few weeks happenings in the Gambia. There will be food, drinks and games we do request a small donation to challenge others to a game of cards, checkers, scrabble, etc. We are hoping to combine a night of serious discussion with a bit of fun mixed in. All proceeds for the evening will be given to NADD.

letters from Freedom Readers:Christ George sent to the cleaners!!! Sunday, April 16, 2006 (300 reads)
BY Mathew K Jallow
I find Chris George's castigation of this paper's writers to be without any merit whatsoever. I wander if Chris George has ever heard of advocacy journalism, but more importantly the idea that journalists cannot take a position on the issues they report about is ridiculous. That is old school journalism. In this day and age, journalism has evolved in such a way that many of the parameters that defined the profession have had to be rethought and reworked to meet through the challenges of this digital and instantaneous news age. Journalism today is a moving target.
