Gambia: Breaking News: Sick Jammeh Seen Coughing, Sweating During State Opening Speech

Gambia – Gambians were given a real peep into Yahya Jammeh’s poor health condition Thursday after the dictator was seen coughing and sweating during a state opening speech.

Mr Jammeh coughed for at least ten times as he sweated throughout – during his two and half hour speech.

His first cough came in the 13th minute when he tried to defend his declaration of Gambia as an Islamic state.

After a pause, a defiant Jammeh said a bill will be sent to the National Assembly towards the implementation of the declaration.

His second cough came in the 30th minute as the dictator address the issue of tourism in Gambia which has been badly affected under Yahya Jammeh.

The dictator’s long and boring speech came at a time when Gambia is facing a lot of challenges.

The human rights situation has been a cause for concern for countries and many human rights groups across the world.

Instead, Yahya Jammeh took time to preach the word of God.

He said Gambians should put their faith in God as it was the reason why he was able to bring development to Gambians.

Speculation that Mr Jammeh is seriously sick is no longer news.

He hardly graces public functions and sources say he has since retreated to Kanilai for treatment.

The state opening of Gambia’s parliament was initially scheduled for March 16 but was cancelled at the last minute.

Yahya Jammeh sent his closest military aide, Gen. Sulayman Badgie to tell speaker of the House, Abdoulie Bojang that he was not coming.

No reason was given for the cancellation.

Dictator Jammeh was later seen driving towards his home village of Kanilai after the frustrated guests had started leaving the National Assembly premises in Banjul.
