As Gambia’s economy continues to crunch, The Gambian dictator Yahya Jammeh is going after officials in charge of financial institutions, the Freedom Newspaper can reveal. The latest official to be fired is Abdoulie Jammeh, the Managing Director of The Gambia Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA). Mr. Jammeh has been dismissed with immediate effect, sources said. He was not only fired, he was also arrested and placed under NIA custody, this medium can report. Mr. Jammeh has been replaced by one Katrine Nying. He was arrested together with Ebrima Sallah, the financial Director of GIA.
The GCAA MD, was picked up by the personnel of the National Intelligence Agency last night from his house He was booked at the NIA headquarters. He is still under custody, pending further investigations.
