Gambia: Breaking News: Forty Alleged Protesters, Who Were Held At The Janjangbureh Prison, Have Been Transferred To The Mile Two Prison!

Ahead of Gambia’s Muslim feast “Koriteh” prayers, Gambia’s confused dictator Yahya Jammeh, has ordered for the transfer of the forty UDP protesters, who were held at Janjangbureh prison to be moved to the Mile Two Prison, the Freedom Newspaper can reveal. The detainees were escorted last night from Janjangbureh to the Mile Two Prison.  The detainees arrived in Banjul this morning, according to competent State House sources.

As predicted the other day during our radio program, Yahya Jammeh is planning to release some of the detainees on Koriteh day. He has no case against the detainees. He wants hide under the disguise of Ramadan, and national unity to extend a so called amnesty to the detainees. His planned move is also aimed at dividing the opposition.

“Yahya Jammeh is a hypocrite and a pathological liar. He represents nothing. He doesn’t stand for anything. He doesn’t believe anything. Word came in yesterday that the detained forty UDP supporters (protesters) should be moved from Janjangbureh to Mile Two. From the word go, we knew that he doesn’t have a solid case against these folks. The same men were earlier detained at Mile Two. Now he wants them back in Banjul ahead of the Koriteh prayers. We heard you saying on the radio that Jammeh is likely going to use the Koriteh feast to free the detainees. You are spot on. Unless he changes his mind, that is what is going to happen,” said our source.

The forty transferred detainees have been booked at Mile Two prison on arrival. They are yet to be charged with any crime. Our source intimated that there is growing hope that the detainees would be released soon.
