Gambia: Breaking News: Close to Forty Mile Two Prisoners Transferred To The Janjangbureh Jailhouse, Following Thursday’s Prison Riots!


Following Thursday’s prison fight amongst the inmates, close to forty intimates have been rounded up and escorted to the Janjangbureh prison, this medium can report. The inmates were picked up from their respective cells and taken to the Janjangbureh jailhouse. They were escorted by the personnel of the police intervention unit (PIU).

It is not clear, what necessitated the riots, but sources said the paranoid Kanilai dictator ordered for the relocation of the inmates to Janjangbureh. A source, who reached us, has promised to furnish us with an additional details.

In another development, another batch of forty prisoners were transferred from the mile two prisons to the Jeshwang prison on Thursday. This followed Thursday’s rioting. The prison population at mile two has been segregated.

Meanwhile, peace has returned to the mile two prison. The prison’s security has been fortified.

In another related Gambian news, the NIA under Yankuba Badjie has started discriminating at the Gam-Petroleum detainees. Detainees such as Sira Walley Ndow Njie, Edrissa Jobe, Cherno Marenah, and co have been availed with light detention privileges, while the other Gam-Petroleum accused persons, have been detained at the mile two central prison.
