A Brikama man is on the run, the Freedom Newspaper can reveal. Alhagie Senkere Bojang, has absconded from the jurisdiction of The Gambia, after a manhunt was mounted against him by the personnel of the National Intelligence Agency. Mr. Bojang has been under the NIA’s radar for the past couple of days. He fled The Gambia, following reports that the NIA has been looking for him.
Mr. Bojang has been accused of updating the Foroyaa Newspaper in regards to the case of the Kombo Central Independent Member of Parliament Buba Ayi Sanneh, who was abducted few weeks ago by the state agents. Mr. Sanneh is yet to be charged with any offence. He was recently paraded before state TV GRTS to discuss issues relating to family land dispute, which has no bearing to his arrest. NIA sources said the land issue was just a decoy to cover up Buba’s illegal abduction.
According to sources, the NIA raided Mr. Bojang’s home in Brikama, hours before his absconding. Mr. Bojang has crossed the border overnight and is believed to be in Senegal, at this hour. He left Brikama on Sunday for Senegal, sources said.
