The Gambia Basketball Association (GBA) Elective General Congress, 2017 wrapped up with the incumbent retain

Incumbent President Mr Muhammed Papa Njie defended his presidential in The Gambia basketball association.
He is appointed again as the president of GBA unopposed.
Like him, General Secretary Abdoulie Jallow who also double as the Secretary General GNOC also retained his sit without stress.
He went unopposed.
Papa Njie who also double as the president ‘Soninkara Youth and Sport Development Committee’ came in office as GBA president four years back and since then he is been doing tremendous job in delivering basketball development in The Gambia. The Papa Njie GBA led executive have been regularly organising national basketball league which produced teams from the Greater Banjul areas and some part of Kombo. In the past four years in office, GBA pilots series of activities both at home and way.
Njie’s ministry was able to host international youth basketball championship in Banjul where they invited the sub-region states to compete.
In early 2016, GBA was able to send one of her couch Sang Mari Sambou abroad to acquire knowledge in the field of basketball officiating. Currently Sang Mari Sambou is a satisfied basketball instructor.
The association was also able to send a team in the West African basketball championship hosted by Mali in 2015.
In 2016, GBA secured a package from FIBA where an English instructor visited Banjul for field reviewing and field analysis and conduct a managerial session for the association’s members.
Muhammed Touray claimed the 1st Vice sit over Ndongo Camara and Modou Ndure who vied in for the post.
Mama Jeng elected the second 2nd Vice, Yassin Joof Jaw treasure (unopposed), Augustus Prom the Auditor.
Modou Ndure and Ousman Conteh co-opted members.
