The newly appointed Presidential “Special Adviser” Mai Ahmed Fatty has said that if Gambians quit bickering and work hard towards nation building, the country will certainly become a middle-income economy within years ahead. He made the remark in a Facebook posting yesterday. “The Gambia can leap to a middle-income economy within years because potentially, we have all the success elements. As a Nation, if we work harder as half as we bicker, progress would quantum leap,” Fatty wrote.
Below is Fatty’s posting:

The year is 1906. Sir Frederick Henry Royce and Charles Rolls floated an English company called “Rolls-Royce Limited”. They did not just manufacture a car, they invented a legend. Rolls-Royce has become more than a status symbol. It’s a coveted imperial brand that redefines comfort, safety, style, excellence & perfection.
What is their secret?
Sir Henry Royce couched it in Latin: “Quidvis recte factum quamvis humile praeclarum”. Simply means, whatever is rightly done, however humble, is noble. For me, it conveys that righteousness means nobility. If we must succeed as a nation, we must do things right, and right the wrongs we commit. If we must be a great nation, we must work at doing the right things in the right ways, at the right times for the right reasons. We must each commit to do what is right for our country, at the right time, in the right manner. #Yesitspossible.
