It appears that President Adama Barrow was never briefed about the accident that nearly claim the life of Justice Kumba Sillah’s husband Essa Camara. Camara is the Chief Pharmacist at the Edward Francis Teaching Hospital. An administration official said he doesn’t think that Barrow was in the picture as far as the said incident was concerned. The incident came as a surprise to them.
A state intelligence Service officer (SIS) reportedly ran on Mr. Camara’s car on Wednesday, thereby leaving him to suffer a broken leg. Camara was hospitalized. He is said to be responding to treatment.
Mr. Camara’s wife is handling the case of the NIA 9 Solo Sandeng murder case. She is a High Court judge.
The accused SIS officer was briefly questioned by the police and released. It is not clear if any charges have been filed against him.
Police Spokesman Lamin Njie is said to be out of the jurisdiction of The Gambia. His boss IGP Mamour Jobe is also out of the country, we have gathered.
In another development, this medium, has gathered that the SIS is operating a safe-house right opposite the home of Justice Sillah’s husband in Manjai-Kunda. SIS agents are occupying the private residential home in that part of town.
