The Janneh Commission has established an adverse findings against the former Secretary General and Head of the Civil Service Mr. Sulayman Samba. Samba has been informed by the commission about its findings, per a list of individuals indicted by the commission report obtained by the Freedom Newspaper.
Mr. Samba is a career public servant. He played a pivotal role during Gambia’s month-long political impasse back in 2016. He was among the officials, who had prevailed on Jammeh to use his senses to avoid a disaster in the impoverished West African nation.
Also served with an adverse finding, was one Amie Samba. Ms. Samba too has been found wanting by the commission.
Momodou Badjie of the Gambia National Patroleum Company (GNPC) is also on the radar of the Janneh Commission. Badjie has been ordered to pay up money to the state. He had been cited by the commission.
A Lebanese businessman Fadi George Magazi, has also been indicted by the Janneh commission. Like Muhammed Bazzi, and co, Fadi, too had been ordered to pay up millions of dalasis to the state.
