UDP’s Rohey Malick Lowe Deserves National Accolade
By Saidina Alieu Jarjou
Earlier on Friday 5 July 2019, I passed through Banjul to North Bank Region to investigate an incident at that end. However, I was not only amazed but flabbergasted at the recent works going on in Banjul under the leadership of her worship Rohey Malick Lowe. I stood for minutes and walk around Banjul to check if I’ll see any ‘but’. Unfortunately, none was seen.
I might not buy her political ideology (UDP) but she is doing a great job with Talibe Bensuda of KMC too. Unlike, Sheriffo Sonko of Brikama Area Council who is one of those clueless and visionless politicians God has ever given to the Gambians since independence. Banjul was once a nasty, filthy and stinky city but today it is indeed another Kigali in the making.
I believe with Rohey, Banjul will be one of those places Gambians will be proud to call home. However, the government also needs to help her with her struggle of making Banjul great again. Her effort is a clear testimony that Gambia women have all it takes to make the Gambia the last place of hope on earth. Let’s give a chance to our women we will surely reach the dreamland.
Dr. Susan Madsen a Professor of Leadership & Ethics, Utah Valley University, said “Leaders are not just born. Sure, some people are born with strong competencies and strengths for leading in certain situations, but it is very clear that leadership can also be developed. That means everyone can strengthen their skills and abilities to lead and influence”
Thank you again for the fantastic job you have been doing for our country lately. Your hard work and dedication have helped us out during a difficult time in the rainy season. I just wanted to make sure you know how much you are valued and appreciated by sovereign citizens.
