The former Gambian soldier Alhagie Marr, who was accused of reporting the two Gambian Americans: Alhagie Mamut Ceesay and Ebou Jobe to be arrested and killed, is residing in Farafenni, contrary to earlier claims that he had absconded from the jurisdiction of The Gambia. Marr’s mum and Ebou Jobe’s mum shared the same mud and dad. He was part of intake 17 of The Gambia armed forces. His last place of posting was at the Farafenni military barracks.
Marr resides in a location called “REGION” in Farafenni wharf town. He is now a farmer. He owns a farmland in the outskirt of Gigimarr. Gigimarr is located in Farafenni.
Marr is often seen around Farafenni town. It doesn’t look like he is in hiding.
A former jungular Pa Ousman Sanneh, a native of Kartong, told the TRRC during his testimony that it was Alhagie Marr, who reported Ceesay and Jobe to be murdered. Sanneh was recently released together with three other jungullars Malick Jatta, Omar A. Jallow and Amadou Badjie, by the Justice Ministry from army custody.
