Former UDP Deputy Leader Yaya Jallow Died, During A Trip To Senegal To Discuss the Border Impasse!


The death of Yahya Jallow has been announced. Jallow died last night in Dakar, Senegal. Jallow was the second man at the SeneGalo-Gambian Permanent Secretariat. He was in Dakar to take part in a meeting to help end the Gambia/Senegal border crisis. Jallow died of heart attack.

Jallow’s body would be flown to Banjul for burial.

Jallow had onetime served as the Deputy Leader of the United Democratic Party (UDP). He later left the party. He was hired by the new government to serve as the number two man at the Senegalo-Gambian Permanent Secretariat in Banjul.

In another Gambian news, reports from Sierra Leone, say a Gambian businessman died in Freetown last night. He died during an automobile accident.
