Army spokesman Major Lamin Sanyang has disclosed that his boss CDS Major General Yankuba Drammeh was in his office today amid reports that he had self-quarantine himself. Sanyang said he is not aware of CDS Drammeh self-quarantining himself. It is not clear if Drammeh is self-guaranteeing himself while at work.
Drammeh and IGP Mamout Jobe were among the passengers onboard the flight that one female traveler was said to have been tested positive for the Coronavirus. The two security chiefs were advised to self-quarantine themselves.
The police spokesman ASP Lamin Njie was contacted for comment, but he said he was not in his office. Njie said the IGP was away from town and had returned this past weekend to Banjul. He asked us to call him later for details on our journalistic query.
