The test results for the remaining four Gambian Immigration Department (GID) officers, who were tested for the Coronavirus have came out negative, according to sources. Out of the nine of the nine officers who were tested are all negative of the Coronavirus, our sources added. The officers were said to have either direct or indirect contacts with The Gambian lady, who was tested positive for Corona last week.
Meanwhile, efforts are underway to contain the spread of COVID-19 in The Gambia. One person is living with the virus. She is admitted at the London based Medical Research Council in Fajara. Health Ministry officials said the hospitalized lady is now clinically stable
The Coronavirus was first discovered in China. It later spread around the world.
China has so far placed the virus’s infection rate under control. No case of Coronavirus was reported in China for the past days.
Infection rate is increasing in Italy, and elsewhere around Europe.
The United States is also battling with the virus. States such as New York, and California had employed strict preventive measures to contain the virus.
