Senegalese President Macky Sall has self-quarantined himself for 15 day, news reports from the former French colony have revealed, Freedom Newspaper can report. This followed Sall’s exposure to a Coronavirus patient. The Senegalese leader has been tested negative for the virus, but notwithstanding, he decided not to expose himself to the officials of his administration in the next fifteen days.
In a news release issued on Wednesday, the President’s office said Mr. Sall’s quarantine is going to start on Wednesday. The press release also stated that President Sall’s Corona test results were negative.
Senegal has so far recorded 6,129 cases of Coronavirus. 4,072 patients have recovered, while 93 people died.
While President Sall tested negative for Corona, the former Burundian President tested positive for COVID-19. He later died after it was reported that he suffered from heart attack.
